Age of Mythology Original Soundtrack - Hoping for Real Betterness
Could be indeed better, but this is already very good. Nostalgia + one of my favorite soundtracks = will get points. Axelay - Mother (3st BGM) Axelay has a quite interesting soundtrack. "Mother" is not the best track from it in my opinion, but it's still solid. The rhythm section is great and sounds deep for the SNES. The melody is OK, but it could have been more elaborated and punchy. Bike Banditz Original Sound Track - eXceptional eXploration (Stage 1) After hearing the beginning, I took out a slice of bread, ready to spread the track's cheese over it. Expecting Cheez Whiz from the title, I then realized, with delight, that it is actually a more refined type of this dairy product. Tasted good! Eternity's Child - The Official Soundtrack - Crystal Waterfalls Lively and moderately melodious, which makes it more interesting than a lot of orchestral VGM out there. A little simple however, I guess it goes with the light nature of the track, used to depict water. Sonic the Hedgehog Remix - Dr.'Gigglymen' Sonic who? All right, this one didn't "wow" me as much as the singer at first, but when 1:36 came, it became just too groovy not to get into. The whole hip hop/rap vibe is not something I particularly enjoy, but it's pretty light here and the jazz/funk vibe is really neat, if executed eccentrically. Strangely good. Super R-Type (Game Rip) - As Wet as a Fish Tight beat with a reflective melody, something simple yet enjoyable to a certain extent. Then a jazzy piano, which I pretty much always dig, and a repetitive bass solo ends the track. Not the best thing ever, but it has an old school charm. By the way, the recording is flawed as the volume fluctuates during the first 10 seconds (most probably due to SNESamp's volume being set to "increase", which is not a good thing). Tobi Tsukihime Soundtrack - MAGICAL AMBER Damn, I'm out of bread! Cool tune, well done and all, even though I feel like I heard it many times before (and not from Tobi Tsukihime). Zeliard (PC Game Rip) - Tumba Town Well, I guess it can work well as background music to a town, but I'm not enjoying it much as a standalone piece. -------------------- (3 points) Age of Mythology Original Soundtrack - Hoping for Real Betterness (2 points) Bike Banditz Original Sound Track - eXceptional eXploration (Stage 1) (1 point) Sonic the Hedgehog Remix - Dr.'Gigglymen' Jam it back in, in the dark. |
