We've got more healing surges than we'd spend anyways. If we gang up on Elvira we can probably scare off the dwarf and then handle the other rejects.

What, you don't want my bikini-clad body?

She's got a high AC too, so use your most accurate attacks even when you have combat advantage (and even if she's prone). kwnwzrd your greataxe has high crit so if she gets knocked prone you're gonna be able to deliver one massive coup de grace.

How ya doing, buddy?

Apart from that, I'm not sure what use Bob will be in this fight

Slowing the bugbear doesn't really help us at all.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

Gabe won't be able to take out that dwarf in less than 4 turns even if he hit him every time.

So now that she's dazed is she helpless?

Edit: I guess not.

I was speaking idiomatically.

This is the second abused dwarf we've had to fight, freed from the basement of Pang's brain.

Are immobilized enemies helpless? What does make something helpless aside from sleep which is obvious?

ALSO, do AoOs only trigger when I leave an enemy's reach? As in can I pass through Mots's square and get behind the bugbear without triggering an AoO? And can Gabe prepare to attack the bugbear once I've flanked it?

There's nowhere I can't reach.

Does knocking something out give us XP or do we have to murder everything in sight to grow as people?

So I can retrain my hammers proficiency for a heavy blades proficiency and still be able to pick another feat, right?

So being big, dumb, and with low dexterity I don't have a lot of feats to choose from. Proficiency gets thrown around a lot in the Player's Manual but what does it mean, exactly?

Why would I want to be proficient in armors, for instance?

What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now?

So if you took Plate Armor Training, you could then wear Plate without being a clumsy motherfucker as a result.
Plate training requires Scale training and Scale training requires Chainmail training. Wouldn't that mean that I'd have to pick every feat up to like Level 14 before I could get a Plate proficiency?

I guess nobody has any roleplaying issues with turning in the sword and just taking the money. (but it's such a good sword )

It's actually worth more than the reward. What if we just turned in the symbol of Bahamut as proof of death?

We didn't actually kill Lord Broden, nor did we rob any graves. We got the sword from the wizard's house, the only thing of Broden's we've got is that +1 Plate.

We can always go back and ask around Freeport to see who killed Lord Broden. We can also just see if we can work out a deal with the bounty issuer to see if we can keep the sword and complete the quest that way.

How ya doing, buddy?

I dunno how Pang is approaching quest resolutions but the first thing we should do when we get back to Freeport (after getting some sleep) is to head to the HBA and try to see what we can do about the sword. If we're going to get constantly hounded about it, it's just not worth it. Plus broadsword proficiency is just a +2 anyways =I

Hey Pang, I've looked over the armor table and noticed the Check stat:

Quote:
Check: You take this penalty to all Strength-, Dexterity-,
and Constitution-based skill checks when you
wear the armor. You don’t take the penalty to ability
checks (such as a Strength check to break down a door
or a Dexterity check to determine initiative in combat).
So I'm assuming this only applies to skill checks and not things like attack rolls, right? So if I wore a plate armor and carried the heavy shield would that mean I'd effectively have a Constitution skill of 4 instead of 8? Or does it just effectively lower my strength and constitution for the purposes of those skill checks?

(hell in retrospect I should've probably ruled that you weren't sleeping in your armor either)
Why wouldn't we sleep in our armor without cots?
