Hello, ladies.

Out here we have a pretty rocking indie-rock scene and I usually take my date to go see whatever bands play at those little venues. Lately I've been seeing this girl who loves to go rock out at those little rock shows. We go, it's all good fun, we drink a couple of beers and by the end of the night we got a good buzz, saw a good band and had some good company.

I KNOW you got a nice little rock scene down there, boy. You're IN A ROCK BAND. Use that.

Fresno WOULD get cool bands if only the scene out there cared enough to snap out of their Top 40 redundancy snap with New Rock 104 as the fucking leader. The ONLY good band I've ever seen in Fresno was Fishbone with local talent 40-Watt Hype opening for them at Porky's Rib House. Here in Visalia it's a lot different and a little promotion magazine called Sound and Vision recently started booking all these talents and having them play at places that would otherwise not get a lot of traffic, like Howie and Sons and The Cellar Door; now those places are fucking packed on Saturday nights. This Saturday Get Him Eat Him and Ahleuchatistas both played and I didn't go because I was hanging out with my friends from L.A. but seriously... ALWAYS good shows there.

Warped Tour fucking sucks now. It's been nothing but wrist-slitting MySpace mouthbreathers headlining for the past 4 years. This year I'm going to see Bad Religion and Flogging Molly... and that's... pretty much it. I know Circa Survive is gonna be playing too and I kind of wanna see them but I honestly don't know if we're gonna go just to see them.

There's nowhere I can't reach.
