Ozomatli
(a.k.a. the Aztec god of dace)... I fucking LOVE these guys. I've been listening to them since their self-titled album came out in 1998
(which I posted quite a while back in the M.E.C. thread) and was voted the most criminally overlooked album by almost every underground hip hop site at the time. I have all their albums and I saw them live at Hard Rock Cafe in Hollywood when they ended their tour of that first album in the summer of '99; right before Chali 2na and Cut Chemist of Jurassic 5
(another underground giant that sadly just broke up) left the group.
These guys put on INTENSE stage performances and I'm looking forward to seeing them again next Saturday at Coachella. <3 <3 <3
