So I'm trying to find a simple adaptor that converts component/RGB to DVI (or VGA), with both ends being female. The intended use would be playing consoles on my PC's LCD monitor instead of my crappy 34cm TV.
I can find plenty of component to DVI
cables, but none are female to female. I assume that it would probably be easy enough to find a TV tuner card with component inputs, but that seems a little extreme to me.
At present the best solution I can think of is-
[RGB (M) output from console] - [RGB (F) - RGB (F) adaptor] - [RGB (M) - DVI (M) cable] - [DVI (F) - DVI (F) adaptor] - [DVI (M) input to LCD monitor]
Female - female component adaptors I can get for like $5, DVI versions are a retarded US$40 for some reason. Feasible, but a just a little bit roundabout. Anyone know of a better option?
Jam it back in, in the dark.
