Like face said, it used to sort itself when you clicked the update buddy list button, but doesn't do that now.
I guess a roundabout way would be to copypaste the list (it's sorted alphabetically in the edit screen) somewhere for safekeeping, remove all buddies, then paste the list back and update, and they should get added in the alphabetical order. How ya doing, buddy?  |

Well I did say roundabout
 I'm not the one having issues with it. I like having them like this, last time they got sorted by accident and I couldn't find any of the names for ages. But as Yama pointed out, they really are sorted by number, as opposed to which order you add. There's nowhere I can't reach. |
