Little Miss Sunshine

The Hoover family treks from Albuquerque to the Little Miss Sunshine pageant in Redondo Beach, California, to fulfill the deepest wish of 7-year-old Olive, an ordinary little girl with big dreams. Along the way the family must deal with crushed dreams, heartbreaks, and a broken-down VW bus, leading up to the surreal Little Miss Sunshine competition itself. Stars Greg Kinnear, Steve Carell, Toni Collette, Paul Dano and Alan Arkin. Trailer

Impressions with some spoilers
Spoiler:
The best movie I'd seen in a long time, it's a dramedy but possibly the greatest feel good movie ever. It's just so awkward and sincere, like when Sheryl was eating the popsicle in the beginning of the movie, who really does that except in real life. The only problem I had was that I felt that Frank's issue didn't really get resolved or even touched upon, Olive and Dwayne's quirks are "solved" in the end but the adults didn't really get addressed in the resolution. But I guess the ending conversation about Proust and suffering sort of ties that into a somewhat decent conclusion. Of course Steve Carell stole every scene he was in but I was actually kind of fond of Paul Dano's character, he was surprisingly complex beyond that angst teenager role

Don't be a jerk, watch this movie even if you have to sneak in after Snakes on a Plane.

Jam it back in, in the dark.

I can't believe you might watch Crank over Little Miss Sunshine.

There's nowhere I can't reach.

Get new friends.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.
