Done and done, although retroactively having had the shield wasn't enough to maintain your neck integrity.

I am a dolphin, do you want me on your body?

Die, milkface!

He hates these tables! Stay away from the tables!

Standard action, unfortunately. Pretty much any skill check in combat is Standard except for knowledge checks (which are free)

What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now?

Well, I wouldn't normally min-max like that but without any kind of weapon I wanted to add what little bonuses to his damage that I could.

When Argy's done more than 8 that was probably Brute Strike, which is 3[W], or the table-tossing which is an improvised heavy thrown weapon and bypasses his unarmed strike expression entirely. Critical hits just do max damage in 4E, so that still wouldn't normally take him over 8. There is a passing attack in the rat battle with more damage than I can account for, but it's only 2 points.

All these tables you've been wrecking have table legs attached to them, you know. Hell, just grab a skeleton bone. Improvised weapons are usually d8s

Edit: How do you determine improvised weapon damage? The Player handbook just says anything from 1-5 lbs should be a 1d4 and doesn't go into any further detail, at least I haven't found it if it's in there somewhere.
Well, it (pg. 219) suggests 1d8 for a two-handed improv weapon, and I'm treating light shields as bucklers* (and therefore not occupying a hand) so I don't know why he wouldn't swing for the fences.

He does gain a +1 to hit from one-handed weapons, though, so it's kind of a tradeoff.

*this is admittedly just a house rule but I think it's a nice way to make light shields seem not-completely-inferior

How ya doing, buddy?

^Yeah, but at least you get the healing. Nice thing about dailies, they always do something.

It seems to me that clubbing people with a rotting leg wouldn't be significantly more damaging than a punch, what with all the squishy flesh and all (plus, clumsy)

Jam it back in, in the dark.

I already let you pick up adjacent tables, so picking up adjacent table parts is fine.

NECROTIC DAMAGE DOES NOT WORK THAT WAY

(also, there's literally fucking nothing in the Monster Manual that's especially vulnerable to Necrotic, so)

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

I cannot even fathom how I managed to deal 27 damage
[2W] + Sneak Attack + Backstabber feat + Brutal Scoundrel bonuses = rape city

Rogues do it from behind, dawg

And now your character is dying; what can you do about it? Let's find out, in another edition of RULES CORNER.

If a character is reduced to 0 or less hit points, they become unconscious. Now, that in itself is no reason to panic! An unconsciousness character won't necessarily die.

First, any other character can heal you. If you're healed to 1 HP or higher, you're conscious again! But remember that you'll wake up prone, so you'll need to take a Move action to stand up.

But let's say that nobody wants to heal you, because you have an ugly habit of abandoning the party during fights.

Every round, an unconscious character makes a saving throw (d20 roll) to see if he gets closer to death. 50% of the time, he will! If a character gets this result on his saving throw three times before the end of the battle, he dies. 45% of the time, he remains stable. 5% of the time, a miraculous recovery occurs. This restores you to 0 hit points, then allows you to spend a healing surge and regain consciousness.

If an unconscious character's HP is reduced to a negative expression of his bloodied value, he dies right then and there. (If you have 30 HP, you're bloodied at 15 HP and dead at -15 HP.)

Unconscious characters (and unconscious or otherwise helpless enemies) are subject to a coup de grace attack, which guarantees a critical hit.

You're only at -4 so Gabriel will probably save you in time but hey, just in case it comes up later

Can I get some stats for my sweet new table leg? I want to put it in my character sheet. =)

Also, put that Monster Manual down, you cheating cheater.

If an attack has splash damage (Like an acid arrow for example), is that just immediately adjacent squares or diagonals too? Also, how likely would the splashback be to hit a prone and rather unconcious ally?
Diagonals are considered adjacent, and it would almost certainly hit anybody unconscious since unconscious people have shitty reflexes.

Also, you told Brady standing up from prone is a minor action. Then you told me it was a move action.
Ok, this is my fault so I'll let it slide this time. Standing up is a move action. Going prone is minor. Sorry.

What, you don't want my bikini-clad body?

They are (effectively) another kind of elf, except Elves get all the "we live in the woods and love nature" qualities and Eladrin get the prancing magical fancy-lad qualities.

What's a good backwoods race? I'm looking for real Appalachian Blue People here.
Halflings are probably your best choice in that case, then.
