No, it doesn't stack, it's just there so I know WHICH Mouther's turn you stop being dazed after since some of their attacks key on whether you're dazed or not.

I was too busy crackin' up at your wonderful magical arrow that can slowly kill its target over a period of 6-8 weeks barring any high Endurance rolls.
That, and the mouthers require about 10 rolls each every damn turn so by the time I'm done with the crunchy numbers part of the post I'm ready for the 4-day break that waiting for Acer's turn affords me Damn, the last time anybody caught a disease up in this bitch it was Argumentus. I gotta fix that. What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now? ![]() |
Filth Fever
Level 3 Disease Endurance stable DC 16, improve DC 21 The target is cured. ▲ Initial Effect: The target loses 1 healing surge. ▲ ▼ The target takes a –2 penalty to AC, Fortitude defense, and Reflex defense. ▼ Final Effect: The target takes a –2 penalty to AC, Fortitude defense, and Reflex defense. The target loses all healing surges and cannot regain hit points. FELIPE NO ![]() |

To the contrary, the contest was founded on the assumption that you'd all hound Acer into posting.

Yeah if I were to hand out achievements every time one of you fails at something mundane I'd be sitting in photoshop 24/7

No, he did not, because Acer's post did not actually enter the game thread until after midnight despite having created it in in the OCD thread several minutes earlier.
(Arguably no one could have won because Acer's post was created and then deleted several times in a sequence of events I am choosing not to consider suspicious at all*, so the actual timing of Acer's response post is kind of up in the air.) *because I really prefer not to speculate on the notion that someone would cheat at D&D. That would be sad. I am a dolphin, do you want me on your body? ![]() |

So, small errata update:
The Cleric power Righteous Brand has been nerfed, but not in a way that actually effects Gheth. Originally it provided a bonus to ally attacks equal to your STR mod, but now it simply provides +3. Happily, Gheth's STR mod is +3 so uhhh this reminder is kind of unnecessary! Zerg, Guardian Arrow appears to be safe; replaced the crop from Dragon with a proper power card. This has been your March update for "Pang, Why Have You Crippled Me?" What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now? ![]() |
ah yes, spitting cobra stance, the power you need to be within 5 squares of an enemy to use
you were totally going to get tons of mileage out of that Zerg Additional Spam:

2. Well no, but there's no need to — 3. There's nothing Acrobatic about straight-up hurling a dude. Athletics. With your gear you're at least 190 lbs so that's going to be, uh, interesting to try. What, you don't want my bikini-clad body? ![]() |
Zerg did you just steal stale bread from an orphan

If I wanted a character who was completely flaming I'd just bring Bob back
(Yeah, I'm not drawing up blueprints for the mansion, just wing it) Oh also! New houserule, wanna encourage ritual use a little bit: instead of spending components on ritual casting, you can pay a ritual's component cost by expending a healing surge. Save a little money, take a little risk. Obviously this offer doesn't apply to matters where it would be massively unbalancing, like Enchant Weapon or any other ritual with a sliding cost. The component cost of Alchemy or Creation is almost always equal to the cost in gold of buying the item outright, so making these practices component-free or component-reduced would be akin to just pouring gold bricks over your heads.
(I mean, without the attendant risk of concussion.) What's to stop Gheth from making healing potions for free, selling them at 20%, and retiring on the literally infinite income stream thereby created? The houserules aren't really intended to make things easier (although some of them surely do have this effect); they're intended to make otherwise-useless things more useful. And when all your resources are useful, that makes a more interesting game for everybody. And as you note, it's extremely simple for me to compensate for any perceived reduction in difficulty. V ahahaha yeah fixed ![]() I am a dolphin, do you want me on your body? ![]() |
I know it's been a while since we've done a skill challenge (last time was on board the Rosy Dawn, I think!), so if you've got any basic questions about how they work feel free. Basically I just need each of you to make three skill checks, each of which you'll justify as being in some way relevant to the situation.
Trying a new system this time, it's a little more flexible and hopefully a little more fast-paced. How ya doing, buddy? ![]() |
Well that entirely depends on what you're trying to do, doesn't it? I mean being on a horse makes Stealth kind of tricky but I can see it being handy for some forms of Athletics.
Just go with what makes sense to you and I'll apply bonuses/penalties as appropriate. You won't really know for sure what worked until the challenge is over.
![]() What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now? ![]() |
Guys, just go ahead and make all three checks in one post, that way there's less waiting around for other people to take their turns.

Also, a Skill Challenge is a form of encounter like any other, so by all means use any of your items / powers that have utility outside combat! Glock has a Lucky Charm, Gordok has Skittering Sneak, etc etc
I am a dolphin, do you want me on your body? ![]() |
It does nothing. It says "combat" right on the label, doesn't it?
