Of course, within a few levels goblins won't be any threat at all.

But by then, why would you be encountering them?

I have no objection to Bob training himself in a language he ostensibly ought to already know.

So, Ritual components.

Every ritual is keyed to Arcana, Heal, Nature, or Religion (or a combination thereof).

Each type has a certain kind of component.

Arcana: Alchemical Reagents

Heal: Mystic Salves

Nature: Rare Herbs

Religion: Sanctified Incense

If a ritual has a "component cost" of 10 GP, that means you have to expend 10 GP worth of the appropriate component when performing the ritual. If a ritual has two keywords, either of the appropriate components will do.

Components don't have a single granular unit, you just purchase "50 GP worth of Rare Herbs (or whatever)"

What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now?

Okay, added the Rituals (except for the one Bob just bought) to both your and Shin's wikis (just after the Inventory section).

Brewing a healing potion would cost just as much as buying it outright, but at least there's some flexibility there.

A potion of healing gives you a flat 10 HP for the price of a healing surge. The poultice (if I'm reading it right) gives an extra 2 HP healing to every surge you use during a rest.

somehow I missed the fact that the holy symbol has to be held in order to be used.
PHB pg. 236:

Unlike other implements, you need only to wear
a holy symbol for its property or power to function.

Closed the Dungeon of Doom thread; please use the new thread going forward.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

This is based on Fallout 3's hacking game, isn't it?

There's a queue in place, why do people think I'm just going to drop in Acer at the first opportunity?

(although Acer would, ironically, be one of the few respites from Acerface in the thread these days, so there is an incentive there)

Bloodied!

Blessed!

Regenerating!

Prone!

and, until Gabriel's intercession, was

Unconscious!

Helpless!

and Dying!

It's a broadsword. Military Heavy Blade. Usable by Paladins, Fighters, Warlords, Rangers and Swordmages. Rolls a d10 for damage?

If I were you guys, I might put a little less thought into the sword and a little more thought into remembering the opportunity rules but that's just me. Dang.

One of the most common attack modifiers is combat
advantage. Combat advantage represents a situation in
which the defender can’t give full attention to defense.
The defender is pressed by multiple enemies at the
same time, stunned, distracted, or otherwise caught
off guard. When you have combat advantage against a
target, you gain a +2 bonus to your attack rolls against
that target.

The following situations give an attacker combat
advantage against a defender.
When a defender is . . .
Balancing
Blinded
Climbing
Dazed
Flanked by the attacker
Helpless
Prone (melee attacks only)
Restrained
Running
Squeezing
Stunned
Surprised
Unable to see the attacker
Unaware of you
Unconscious

Once per encounter, you can try to gain combat
advantage against a target by making a Bluff check.

✦ Gain Combat Advantage: Once per combat
encounter, you can try to gain combat advantage
against an adjacent enemy by feinting. As a standard
action, make a Bluff check opposed by the enemy’s
Insight check. If you succeed, you gain combat
advantage against the enemy until the end of your
next turn.

Yup, you can use both encounter powers in the same encounter. That goes for everybody.

(I'm not "making an effort to kill them", I'm just making it conceivably possible for them to be killed. Having them roll over a dragon without so much as a knockdown was funny the one time, but I think Easy Mode would get boring after a while.)

Also, for people who never check the OP, that's been tidied up quite a bit and I've put in links to all the current books & mags that are relevant on the player side.
