Jedi Outcast has indeed aged since 2002 but when it was released it was breathtaking in comparison to it's peers. It took the designers of this game to show the world what the Quake III engine was born for.
Hell I remember even spending ABOUT IRĀ£300 ($500 at the time) on a GeForce3 Ti500 just to play this game on full graphics settings after the demo underperformed with a GeForce2 GTX. To this day Jedi Outcast and X-Wing: Alliance are the only games I've ever waited outside a closed store on release day for.
Yes it's story was nonsense in comparison to the sheer depth of drama delivered by it's predecessor Dark Forces II [BRING BACK FMV

] and so it's replayability is not as assured but it excels in multiplayer even to this day especially when one grows tired of shooting at people, rocket jumping and campers. I think it's far more satisfying and honourable to challenge a friend [or enemy] to a lightsaber duel.

How ya doing, buddy?
