I have no pictures but there is a street sign in Hayward, CA that reads simply: HUMP. I chuckled.
Revealing what a Nintendo geek I am, there is a well-travelled highway in Honolulu called "Likelike Blvd." The first time I saw that, I loudly proclaimed that "Likelike" is the name of a dungeon enemy from the original Legend of Zelda game - they're the ones that will eat your large shield. My ex-girlfriend pretty much facepalmed. Also, it's not a road sign really, but someone in Hawaii has "HAMTARO" as their license plate. That amused me to no end since I crossed paths with that vehicle three different times during my 2 week stay. Who gets vanity plates that read HAMTARO?? How ya doing, buddy? |
