Random road signs

Here in Blighty we have one of the most wonderful TV shows in the world in the shape of Top Gear (this is a fact, as proven by me, so don't even try to argue). If you haven't seen Top Gear I recommend you head to your nearest dodgy-downloading website and find a torrent. Or look on YouTube, because everything is on YouTube.

Now, on the newest series of Top Gear that started a couple of week ago they've started a campaign against stupid road signs, and getting people to send in pictures of particularly good ones - the best being this Sunday gone's sign saying "Sign Not In Use". Another silly sign I know of as it is located not far from where my parents reside (though don't have a picture of sadly) is a roundabout sign that has marked on it "Secret Nuclear Bunker".

So, what silly signs have you seen on your travels? If you can snap a picture of them and post here, all the better.

Its more stupid than funny, I think, but I got a picture of this one when my sister and I took a trip to the beach one day:

It didnt make much sense to me. Radar does not take pictures, why would you smile?

HOORAY, RADIO WAVES ARE CURRENTLY BOUNCING OFF MY CAR! HAPPY DAY!

I have no pictures but there is a street sign in Hayward, CA that reads simply: HUMP. I chuckled.

Revealing what a Nintendo geek I am, there is a well-travelled highway in Honolulu called "Likelike Blvd." The first time I saw that, I loudly proclaimed that "Likelike" is the name of a dungeon enemy from the original Legend of Zelda game - they're the ones that will eat your large shield. My ex-girlfriend pretty much facepalmed.

Also, it's not a road sign really, but someone in Hawaii has "HAMTARO" as their license plate. That amused me to no end since I crossed paths with that vehicle three different times during my 2 week stay. Who gets vanity plates that read HAMTARO??

As far as ROAD signs go, I can't think of anything particularly amusing. Signs in general, there are a few examples!

The Singapore Zoo has had some funny signs:

The ubiquitous fines are plastered all over:

This is particularly amusing. No Durians allowed:

Also, they have the most indirect way of saying you are not allowed to commit suicide by jumping on the electrified MRT rail:

They wouldn't happen to reside near Crewe, would they? Whenever I'm visiting family up there I always pass it on the way back from the station. I haven't been, but it's a decommissioned government thingamajig open to tourists.

Oh, definitely. I detest the smell as well. Consider it a bit of schadenfreude to laugh at its ban.

Here in TX they'll have these religious type signs out along the highways. There was this one that said "If you think it's hot here"

LOL you get the idea.

Also in town you'll pass by houses that have signs which say things:

There's still alot of milege in this old girl or I'm old but still youthful,etc..there's been better ones.
