I've just started watching this show with Season 3 since I just got cable. I have to say the effects sequences and ship scenes are impressive.

Spoiler:
But it's scenes like the Colonel walking off at the end of last night's episode that really make the show...

Jam it back in, in the dark.

Yes, that was somewhat confusing. Adama threatens to shoot people, then the Union forms anyway. What would have happened if Adama had followed through on his threat and executed some of the strikers, meanwhile the President wants to talk?
Imho this was perfectly played-out. If the Chief had stuck to his guns that would have pegged him as an unreasonable man that Adama would have been unable to deal with. Yet, Adama wanted to test his mettle at the same time. Adama and the President seem to be on the same wavelength lately...

There's nowhere I can't reach.

I love to see a sci-fi show deal with real-life issues more deeply than the supposed "dramas" of the day can muster. The way they dealt with the whole abuse issue was very interesting...

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

Wow, for a series that just seemed to keep getting more and more hardcore & could do no wrong, what a surprisingly lame episode? There is only a single real "mystery" left, in my mind, about who is a cylon:

Spoiler:
Either Starbuck, since she seems to be hanging with Cylons, or the president, since she is with the two other cylons in their shared dream. There was only 5 left, right?

I thought the ending would have been better if this happened:

Spoiler:
If ALL the humans turned out to be cylons - now THAT would have been something.

I am a dolphin, do you want me on your body?

Spoiler:
No freaking duh? Who ever doubted Starbuck was one of the final five? That's no mystery at all. In the last minute of Crossroads she practically had it written on her forehead. Hello, she's been drawing the Eye of Jupitor sense she was 12, all the visions she's had about fullfilling her 'destiny,' her raptor explodes into a million pieces then she comes back with a smile on her face. 'Hi Lee, I've been to Earth, I know where it is and I'm going to take us there.' Ok, let's say she died in that explosion, if she's a cylon, one of the final five where would she ressurect? Earth. The only question that remains is what are the purposes of the final five, are they on the human side, cylon, or neutral? Who's going to get to Earth first and how long will it take them to get there? Most importantly WHO or WHAT is on Earth anyway? The Thirteenth Tribe, The Final Five, Both or something else? In my opinion the episode was very NOT lame, it was quite suspenseful and open-ended. Just because there weren't bombs going off, lights flashing and people dieing doesn't mean it had to be lame. Oh yeah, and what about Baltar, lets not forget him. The cult must be taking him somewhere and what was the vision in the opera house with Six and Hera about? There's plenty of mystery left if you ask me. If Baltar isn't one of the Final Five then what? Let's see how serious they are about declaring him God.
That's my point, there is supposed to be FIVE of them and with everyone included that I was talking about (I didn't even count Baltar) that would make SIX, so something's off and it must be one thing or the other, but then how is everything possible?

I was speaking idiomatically.
