Deconding a Mobo Beep Sequence
Computer Stats
Make: eMachines Model: eMonster 600 Processor Speed: 600Mhz RAM: 512MB (Upgraded from 64MB) Yes yes, I know it's prehistoric, but it was serving its purpose to me, and I'd like to figure out what is wrong. When I turn on the computer, nothing shows up on this screen. After about 2 seconds, I hear this beep sequence. I have looked online for a beep sequence manual for this particular computer without any luck. From my searches, it appears to be associated with the BIOS version. However, I can't see what BIOS I have without being able to use my computer. Any suggestions? Here is the beep sequence: beep sequence.wav P.S. sorry the recording is so quiet, I don't have a mic so I had to use ear buds Jam it back in, in the dark. |
There's nowhere I can't reach. |
Figured I'd make a follow-up post to say that a video card swap fixed the problem! Thanks guys!
This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it. |
