Some of the older RPGs still hold up very well for me despite having played through them many times. Fallout 1&2, Arcanum and Planescape: Torment are all wonderful.
As a matter of fact I'm replaying Planescape: Torment at the moment, and it's just fantastic. Stuff like Oblivion may be pretty, but it can't hold up to the depth of the world in these games if you ask me. I highly recommend them. Jam it back in, in the dark. |
I just got into Neverwinter Nights 1 (about time eh?). I found the main campaign thingie to be boring as hell, so I was about to uninstall it until I remembered how people used to rave about the player-made modules.
So I downloaded a few that people seemed to like, and I must say that some of them are really well-made. It's also just fun to play something created by the community. I'm not sure how demanding the game is, but I think you could run it. It's worth it if you download the mods. There's nowhere I can't reach. |
