You'll probably have much better results from actually going in and asking employees instead of just calling. Several stores have been instructed to hide them in the back so they'll have some in stock for the weekly ads, but you might get lucky and ask an employee who doesn't know that in-store.
Check under display tables in the video game section of Best Buy too. I was in there one time and an employee slid a box of 2-3 Wiis under the tablecloth to hide them from view. How ya doing, buddy? ![]() |
Dishonest, but it happens all the time. Either because they're required to have at least a few in stock for the weekly ad (especially a big sales day like Black Friday) or they'd rather keep them for the customers who are in the store so they minimize the number of times they have to deal with a pissed off customer in person.
