I bought the EU PS3 version before I even realised this game was for ronery otaku. I haven't tried it yet, and I honestly can't tell if this kind of marketing makes me more or less eager to do so.

I gave the game a quick spin today. There are a few little things about it that aren't ideal, but it seems to be your basic SRPG with generic animu plot. There are scantily-clad boobies on display in the first few minutes of the game, and if you're so inclined you can hit the circle button to remove the text boxes and other obstructions for a proper look at the bare flesh.
It would be a massive stretch to describe anything I've seen so far as potential wanking material for teenage boys, mind you. Unless it gets a lot more smutty the further into the game you get, I suspect a lot of people who bought the "naughty version" will be disappointed. Unless they are just so desperate that even the skimpy costumes available here constitute sufficient gratification. One thing I'd love to know though... why does the music in the cutscenes have to be such poor quality? The music in the rest of the game is fine, why do the cutscenes have to sound like badly encoded MP3s. If ya got any questions, I'll do my best to answer 'em. Bear in mind though that I only just started the game. If anyone is really desperate to get this game early, I could come to some arrangement about shipping a UK version to America... assuming you'd be willing to scratch my back on any import purchases I need a willing proxy for. PM me if so... One last thing I'd like to mention. Much to my surprise and pleasure, certain aspects of the battle system remind me of things which are to be found in Final Fantasy Tactics, but not in many of the other SRPGs I've played. Several reasons. If your characters die, you can resurrect them on the battlefield. There's a world map to move about on, with random encounter spots. You get to select which way your character will face after they move... little things. There are other cool things about the battles as well, like the way you can set up combination attacks with your allies. I've barely begun to discover what you can do, but fortunately there are plenty of tutorials that pop up the first time you discover a new feature in battle. There's nowhere I can't reach.
