If you're looking for something small try either the Samsung NC10 or the Acer Aspire One series.

Jam it back in, in the dark.

If you already have a copy of Windows XP that you can use, buy one of the ones with Linux and the price drops even further. They are nice machines for a traveller. To be honest they are nice machines for anyone, but the size, weight and battery life mean that for travellers it doesn't get much better.

There's nowhere I can't reach.

I thought 9-hours batterytime was normal for laptop nowadays?
Not on any Laptop I ever used.

I don't mean you should USE the Linux OS. I mean that if you buy one with Linux, it's cheaper. Then you can install a Windows OS that you already have. For example, I have a couple of spare XP licenses so I'm not going to buy an OS with my next machine.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.
