Replacing the CPU cooler with a better one helps. Making sure there's a clear path for air to flow through your case helps more. You have to have one fan pulling air in, and another pushing it out for good airflow. I rarely get mine registering temps over 45 degrees.

Jam it back in, in the dark.

I actually realized I don't have a front case fan. So the only fan I have pulling air in is the processor fan.

Which probably isn't very efficient.
The case I use has a giant 120mm fan at the back, and two 80mm intakes. One at the front, one at the side. It is a layout which is becoming more common. It seems to really cool effectively.

There's nowhere I can't reach.
