I just started this game, figured I'd bump the thread for some questions. I've finished Valkyrie Chapter 2, about to start on the third chapter, but I'm curious... I keep running out of money to buy healing items, does it get any easier to acquire money? So far my only solution is to go hunting for Mandragora, which only sell for 2 or 3 coins each.
Even though I'm still at quite an early point in the game, I'm also curious about replaying a book when I've completed it. The second time through, do I have any advantages? Do I get to carry over my psyfer and HP levels? Do I get to carry over any items? I assume at the minimum I will keep my alchemy texts, which should make the game that much easier. I won't deny, I'm finding it pretty hard going already. I've had to reset about a million times, because the game won't let you load an old save file. If I'm going through a stage, and used some of my items before dying, that pretty much means I've got to reset, right? The option "retry" only appears on boss stages, and money is too hard to come by in this game to squander items in that way. Lest anyone think I'm complaining, please understand that I do love the game. I'm just finding it a good solid challenge, and that's pleasant. Jam it back in, in the dark.

There's nowhere I can't reach.

Thanks for the alchemy info. I guess I've just gotta grind through the next chapter before I can make my own healing potions. That should make the rest of the game go at least somewhat more easily. I'm not hardcore enough to play on hard, by any means. This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.
