EDIT: Try this link, then.

Sorry about that. As Rockgamer pointed out, most likely a mistake.

Looks like the main site has a video up. It shows some items being used, except for the blue shell XD

Of particular note of interest is the music. The overworld theme is not the SMB theme, it's completely different! Of course, the underworld music is basic as always.

I partially agree, however so far we've only seen it used in the very first stage. It's not like the giant mushroom is going to be in every stage. If it does become too much of a focal point, it could become boring fast.

and the Crash games are awesome what

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

Haha, thanks. Yours is pretty sweet as well, nothing like a gameplay nuance to brighten ones day

This game looks cool (but yeah, it would be...), and I really am digging that overworld tune! Hope the rest is also original music, cause Mario music is usually pretty sweet. Does anyone know if Koji Kondo is doing the music?

I heard multiple rumors that the music is being done by the guy who did the music for Yoshi's Touch & Go. Having never played the game before, I have no idea what to make of it.

How ya doing, buddy?

Nintendo has finally updated their page (not the Mario one, the Nintendo on on NSMB). Mostly info we already know, however.

It does mention the Triple jump, which quite a few of us though was taken out. Perhaps it will be shown in a later video?

What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now?

For those who are worried about the difficulty, click the spoiler button

Spoiler:

Double Post:
The second video has been posted

So... they DID keep the triple jump. It's the very first part of the video.

Level design looks fantastic.

Shoot. Five minutes too late.

Anyway, the players in the vid suck, but I've come to accept that from IGN. The Athletic theme is wacky to the point of concussive depression. I love it. Also, you get to see the Koopa shell in action! I like how it doesn't move too fast, so it's not too hard to control.

EDIT: Holy coughdrop I thought there were only 5 vids. They just added 4 now, for a total of 9 new vids

If you hate Gamespot's Streaming, you can see all 8 new Gamespot videos here..

It's all 8 videos in 1. The videos are squashed, unfortunately, because it has both screens. I still prefer it over Gamespot's infinite PSP commercial barrage guarding the videos.

The best part is World 3-2 where the enemies jump in time with the music.

Jam it back in, in the dark.

Okay, I saw the commercial. E3 almost made me completely forget about this game.

Actually, I thought today was only the shipping date, but I'm hearing from some people that some stores were selling it since yesterday! I'm gonna be checking around.

Fantastic. Love the backgrounds. Also, Audio Sample 5 is really awesome. I'm assuming it's the world 5 map theme. The music has grown on me and I found myself humming the main theme in class last week.

It's a shame that most people aren't going to measure this up to the classics; from what I've seen, this is just as great as SMB3 and SMW. I'll have to play it before I come to any final decisions, though.

I IS GAME GET

Got at EBgames. I started playing, but I haven't played the main game yet. There was one new minigame where you guide a bob-omb through thousands of fireballs. It was awesome, except your hand does a good job at obscuring the screen.

Someone needs to rip the music STAT. The minigame menu music is just cool.

This may just be THE MOST single MOST awesome ... THING... I've ever played in the world's longest time. I can say with full confidence that this game matches up to previous Super Mario Games.

Just got to world 3. Like previous Mario Games, once you know them inside out, you can beat them in one sitting. The secrets are CLEVER, though the ones that require an item that you cannot get in the same stage are annoying.

Nintendo definitely put their heart and soul into this. For those who are still on world one, you ain't seen nothin yet.

I'm not. The stages are short. I usually never open up Mushroom gates at all, so I usually save those for potential save points.

Okay, I've done pretty much everything possible in the first 3 worlds. This game is fantastic.

Really? That's... err.... pretty odd, actually.

The Mini Mushroom is awesome. You can jump much further with it, you stay in the air longer, and you can run on water with it. It makes stages like 6-2 awesome.

The Koopa Shell is cool, but annoying in most cases. Since I am subconsiously holding down the run button most of the time, when it activates, I tend to forget how to stop it. It's fun in stages where you can use it till the end of the stage with no breaks, though.

Okay, everything in the first 6 worlds done.

eh, sorry about that.

Anyway, for those who were wondering whether or not the infinite 1-up stair glitch still works, this vid pretty much answers it.

Except the music is awesome

Also, a rather nifty little secret has come to my attention. If, on the level map screen, you pause, then press (L)(R)(L)(R)(X)(X)(Y)(Y), then you unlock a rather nifty mode in which you cannot scroll backwards through the level. It's rather nifty.
