That's right. Final Fantasy VII: Crisis Core. A game that covers the earlier years before VII. In it you play as Zack with Sephiroth at his side, accomplishing missions for Shinra, and allowing you to see what things were like before Nimbelheim.
There is also Disgaea coming for the PSP, so if you didn't play it on the PS2 and are an RPG fan, this is one that you should definatly check out. Jam it back in, in the dark. |
Here's an article of Gamespot's on Didgaea for the PSP.
http://www.gamespot.com/psp/rpg/cris...%20fantasy%207 EDIT: Here's the link for the Disgaea portable site; http://disgaea.jp/psp1/index.html There's nowhere I can't reach. |
I myself own the game for the PS2 and I don't care for it all that much. Then when you add the longer loading times and the lack of VO in the PSP version I can't really justify buying this game. Especially when it's $20 for the PS2 version.
How ya doing, buddy? |
Hmmm... I'm not really sure. It's not like Sony to not support things like this so I'm sure that perhaps either Logitech or Sony are kind of busy with other projects at the moment. And with the PS3 along with a lot of new PSP devices coming out right now I'm sure that everyone is busy, things are bound to get thrown onto the back burner.

I never had that much trouble with it either. Perhaps for fighting games it doesn't work well for, but if you're using analog for fighting games then you can't be too serious of a fighter to begin with. Just like Pietak though, my only deal with it is that there isn't too. And fingures crossed that Kojima's AI controlled camera thing works out for Metal Gear.

Megalixer: They're working on having everything available on the PSP directly, they're just not done yet. And whether it is able to do it over the PS3 or not is of no matter because they still would not have the ability for the PSP to do it directly anyway, and you'd still be waiting. Plus what you call lack of games I call time to finish the ones I have.
Games I'm working on; Killzone Liberation Ultimate Ghosts N Goblins Field Commander Metal Gear Acid 2 GTA VCS And then Metal Gear Portal OPs comes out DEC/5th which is going to be amazing. How ya doing, buddy? |
Are you trying to update it via network or by copying the data off your computer onto your PSP? Whichever you've been doing, try the other method first.

At least the PSP has games worth playing and is a standard screen ration and don't make up their own. Sure it's no DS when it comes to sales, but the DS ain't no PSP when it comes to console games on the go. Even if you do need to pack a car battery.
Nokia, what were you thinking making a tall screen, LMAO, what fools. What, you don't want my bikini-clad body? |
They need some sort of bluetooth attachment. This way you can use bluetooth headsets for music, phone & online gaming.

Well as long as the code is there and someone can make a program that rips PS1 games and packs them as PSP PS1 games, there's no reason why it wouldn't work. Also if it works on the PSP it should also work on the PS3.
Really though I'm surprised that I haven't seen people distributing PS1 and PSN games over the net yet, because you should be able to simply transfer them back & forth using a custom unix code, no hacking needed. Hell the WarHawk Beta could be downloaded and played by anyone with a downloaded version from over the net, so why hasn't this happened yet? Well I guess there's still lots of time for this stuff to come out. It just can't come soon enough that's all. There's nowhere I can't reach. |
The skype could still be in the pipelines netwoprk wise or something. Either way, it'll probably be a Korean only feature or something because most places in North America still don't have access points.
The ISO thing was talk of having an official update and playing custom ripped PS1 games on a PSP. So not quite the same as you were thinking, but similar. Most amazing jew boots |
I don't know the exact numbers but the slim PSP has a slightly shorter lifespan then the regular one due to the reduced battery size. However Sony said something about a battery cover that you can buy that will allow you to use the old bigger battery in the new slim one. However you'll have a bit of a bulge over that spot due to the larger battery.

There's also thoes battery life extender pack things that Nyko and them make that snap onto the bottom of the system and stuff. If you look around the net you might find something decent, never know.

In the new PSP Official Firmware 3.70 they added a PSP theme feature.
Does anyone know if it can use the current theme files that are already floating around the net for use on hacked PSPs, or can this feature only run official PSP themes approved by Sony? Any help on this issue would be great. Thanks What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now? |
Sorry to bother you guys with the most noobish and common question that you's must get. But, is there yet a means to install custom firmware on a PSP that has official 3.71 firmware?
I'm thinking of getting a slim soon and use it for my legit stuff (like PS3 connectivity) and keep my old one for the... well "other" stuff. Thanks for the help guys. FELIPE NO |
Well then perhaps I'll just save myself from a ton of work and just downgrade the stock PSP Slim (I don't have a second one & all my friends have 3.71). What firmware do they have out of the box? And do you have a link to that "Despertar del Cementerio V3" ?
What, you don't want my bikini-clad body? |
So then the PSP Slim is too up to date to even use the Lumines downgrade then is it?
Jam it back in, in the dark. |
Hey guys. I still feel bad about my noobish questions so bare with me here.
I just aquired a used PSP with firmware 2.82 it is also a TA-082 board Is this hackable? And if so how? A simple point to a site with documentation on how and if you could tell me what the reccomended firmware is it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks again guys. UPDATE: Already I already figured out that I need to do the Lumines downgrade which is no problem. I've got the tools and instructions from PSP-Hacks. Last thing I need to know is what firmware should I install on the PSP after I downgrade to Sony 1.50? Any reccomendations? There's nowhere I can't reach. |
UPDATE Anyone know where I can get SNES, Neo-Geo, etc. emulators? UPDATE! I've found something called DAX ZISO V0.62(latest?) which is supposed to compress and then play compressed ISOs. Problem is, I can't get the little bugger to work. Anyone else have experiance with this program? Thanks again for everything guys. This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it. |
Alright then. Thanks.
For my next problem. How the hell do you get NeoGeo PSP RX2 to work? I have a KoF 2002 ROM folder which has like 16ROM files in it (is that normal?). And I have both a BIOS and a ubiversal BIOS file. I select the icon and the program begins to boot doing the PSP logo thing, and then it comes up with an error almost right away. I'm sure I didn't even install it right due to poor documentation. I am a dolphin, do you want me on your body? |
This is true. In theory the DVD player "should" interlace the progressive image.
I was speaking idiomatically. |
You can play games on a TV with the Slim's jack, however it con only be done on progressive scan TVs.
It may be possible to run it through a progressive support DVD player to a 480i TV, but nothing has been confirmed. EDIT *shakes fist at Inhert* lol, oh well. ^^ What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now? |
Want to know how to do Pandora battery. I reccomend finding a copy of the instructions and a "how to" YouTube video and follow along before doing it yourself for minimum error.
How ya doing, buddy? |
That .SFO sounds like some sort of compressed ISO. Have you tried putting it into your ISO folder? Worth a shot.
Sorry to hyjack the topic. But you're telling me that in order to get an emulator to work I have to put it in that "GAME150" folder? I've been trying to get this Neo-Geo emulator to work forever now. What, you don't want my bikini-clad body? |
Don't know if this will help, but I found a program that allows you to view the contents of .sfo files. So you can check to see if it is the game image at least.
