US raids Iranian consular office in Iraq
http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/middle_east/6251167.stm
Since the 1963 Geneva Accord on Consulates, consulates are sovereign ground and thus we have just invaded Iran. I'm honestly a bit confused. It's clear that the Executive Branch wants to surge in Iraq, straining our forces even more. So why this at the same time? Why, exactly, does he think that this won't completely cause the entire Middle East to blow up? How ya doing, buddy? |
First off, there is no evidence of the Iranian government officially sending citizens into Iraq. Secondly, there is no such International Law. Keep in mind that we never declared war on Vietnam, for example. There's nowhere I can't reach. |
