The Donation Scandal
So there was that whole thing today where Hillary had to give back a donation that she got from some guy who was a bad dude and everyone else started scrambling to make sure they didn't have donations from similarly bad dudes.
So, this is what I don't get. What is bad about her getting a donation from this guy? In my opinion, politicians should act based on what they think is right. What we see too often is that politicians sense of right is based on who gives them the biggest donations...someone who gets a large donation from the Big 3 isn't typically going to start voting a bunch of things that will hurt auto makers, even if it would be the right thing to do. So isn't her returning the donation an admission of that? Politicians are always quick to say that money shouldn't influence things and it doesn't...after all, "XXXX Will Take Your Money for Favors" doesn't look very good on a campaign poster. I like the idea of electing statesmen, people who wouldn't be influenced by money and wouldn't be compelled to give back money, lest he be tied to having to do some favor for said person. Essentially, what I get from her giving back the money is, "See, if I kept it, I'd have to do this guy a solid." That is exactly the type of logic I'd like to not ever see anywhere near a ballot box, but it just seems like everyone does it anyway. Jam it back in, in the dark.

Yeah, but these politicians take money from tons of people they have no intention of fucking.
She's a selective hooker.
That I hadn't seen, though. There's nowhere I can't reach.
