The only thing I can think of is you accidentally restarted in Windows.
If you turn on the computer (or restart it) and don't do anything else, you'll get to the select a user screen, but if you don't do anything, it will go into a screen saver. Then when you wake you get the screen back. Jam it back in, in the dark. |

Oh, I thought you said they weren't on.
You checked in Display->Screen Saver->Power...->Power Schemes to make sure System Standby is set to Never? There's nowhere I can't reach. |

If you right click on the desktop and go into Display Properties, that setting is under Screensaver->Power.
This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it. |
