Breath of Fire III's also got a PAL release. And Tales of the World is pretty win.
This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it. Reading -- Bleach, Claymore, Chun Rhang Yhur Jhun, NOW, Zero: Beginning of the Coffin, Black God, Twelve Kingdoms (novels), History's Strongest Disciple Kenichi Watching -- Bleach Playing -- Fable II, Valkyria Chronicles, Guitar Hero: World Tour, Star Ocean: First Departure, LittleBigPlanet, MegaMan 9, Mirror's Edge |
In other news, Sony's offering a new PSP bundle -- God of War: Chains of Olympus with sexy red PSP and Kratos' visage plastered on the back. If it weren't for that, I'd definitely get it, but I don't like having faces on my PSP so I'll stick with my silver PSP.
Also comes bundled with Superbad. Here's the IGN article. I am a dolphin, do you want me on your body? If you can find it, I found Kingdom of Paradise to be immensely fun, I really like the setting. It's an earlier PSP release and the cover art is horrible, but it's a really good game underneath.
Both Megaman Powered Up! and Megaman Maverick Hunter X should be picked up as well. They're 3D remakes of the original Megaman and the original Megaman X titles, respectively. MMPU has a ton of content, including a level creator, and something like 10 unlockable characters including Proto Man and Roll. MM:MHX has a bonus OVA you can watch to see the events before MMX, and beating the game will unlock Vile as a playable character and he's much, much different than X. Valkyrie Profile: Lenneth is anotehr must-have port of a PS1 game. The new CG scenes are amazing, and the game itself is top notch. Jeanne d' Arc is a really cool cel-shaded strategy RPG that isn't quite as hard or deep as FF Tactics, but because of that it's a little more fun to play (for me anyway, since I suck at SRPGs). It was also done by Level 5. God of War: Chains of Olympus, while short, is an excellent game nonetheless and it does still have the Challenges to add some extra playtime in, plus the additional difficulty modes. Wild Arms XF is another SRPG, but set in the WA universe. Like Jeanne d' Arc it's not as involved as FFT, but it's fun and has some cool features in it that are worth exploring. If you're a WA fan, it's a worthwhile purchase. Oh, the Ratchet and Clank: Size Matters game, if you haven't played it on the PS2 (it was recently released for that platform) is also really good, again for fans of the series already. It's a good pick-up even if you're not familiar with the series too. I was speaking idiomatically. Despite the garbage cover art, Kingdom of Paradise is really good as well. Sousuke recommended the PAL release of Tales of Eternia, so I'll throw out Breath of Fire III. Keep your eyes peeled for Jeanne d'Arc, God of War: Chains of Olympus, Ratchet and Clank: Size Matters, the Gradius collection, either or both of the Monster Hunter Freedom games and, despite how gay it may seem, Space Invaders Extreme.
How ya doing, buddy? I can't remember who it was, but a well-known poster here, who also has a PSP, was a huge fan of DJ Max Portable. Word has it that DJ Max Fever will be the US release of DJ Max Portable and DJ Max 2.

No UMD drive, huh. I wonder if they'll retrofit the PSP's current game library or alienate any new adopters. Will they continue to support the PSP-3000, or will it be abandoned in favor of this?
