Hardwired in the Core

Honestly, I'm rather leery about the whole ideal girl or ideal look thing -- that's what your "hardwired" image sounds like. By holding on to this hardwired image, you might turn away people who you might have formed a great relationship with, just because she may not have quite matched up to that image in your head.

I really think there's no such thing as the perfect person for anyone.. what's important is that two people in a relationship accept each other for who they are and try to improve from there, rather then holding each other to some kind of ideal.

When you enter in a relationship, you should be interested in knowing someone else, not knowing yourself. If you want to know yourself, that's what introspection is for! .

I think, when you do get into a relationship, you're going to learn much more about yourself than you ever thought you would, that no amount of introspection by yourself will teach you.

Just wondering. Say, you got into an extremely happy and loving relationship with someone that doesn't quite fit your ideal, and someone who fits your ideal comes along. Will you quit your current relationship to try for this someone who is closer to your ideal?
