My father used to clear jungles for development into housing estates and small townships. We lived in Malaysia, the home of the smallest bears in the world, sun bears.
Well, my dad caught a sun bear, and kept it in his backyard in a cage for a while. This was when I was studying in Singapore, so it was something to look forward to when I came back to visit. The bear was very docile, and the one time it escaped its cage, it didn't take a whole lot of coaxing to get it back in...
Anyway, the bear was surrendered to the Forestry Department, but yeah, I'd be a bear herder. 'Cos I have relevant experience.
Jam it back in, in the dark.
