Good idea, it just might work. Here are my suggestions:

I would prefer a subforum before a sticky thread. That way you can separate the general food discussion from the recipies' discussion.

The subforum could be built as follows:

Threads divided into categories and a separate thread for "discussion", "testing" and maybe one for "cookbook improvements". As suggested by Giro0001, the categories could be "appetizers", "soups", "salads", "main dishes", and "desserts". I also suggest that we include the category "Drinks".

Moreover, I suggest that all of these threads are to be sticky ones and that the moderators remove the ability to create new threads in this section.

Threads, example:

[Recipe discussion] - Discussion and recipe suggestions.

[Recipe testing grounds] - Reviews, results and improvement of recipes.

[Cookbook improvements] - Suggestions for structural improvements of the subforum

-------------------------------

[Appetizers]

[Soups]

[Salads]

[Main dishes]

[Desserts]

[Drinks]

Jam it back in, in the dark.
