2.Kobayashi had confirmed in interview with Famitsu that what was shown in DMC4 trailer is least you should expect from PS3 graphics, the ingame graphics of DMC4 would be much better. If you want to take my word, wait for 2 months E3 is almost here and PS3 will blow. I mean time check these realtime graphics of Darkness on PS3 Jam it back in, in the dark. |
Oh yeah i read David jaffe's interview/blog,he was asked if he wants to develop for Revolution.
He said ,he love to and liked the idea of controller but he added that PS3 is awesome,he was fascinated by the power of PS3 which he saw in production houses of other companies. He said, after seeing PS3 he would prefer PS3 over Revolution.(there was more but his words gave the idea that he was very impressed, its seldom that developers like him,get fascinated by graphics). If its true than it means we are in for treat as far as PS3 graphics are concerned. But he might have made this comment 'cause he is Sony dog. Most amazing jew boots |
PS3 Darkness
"The engine we used on Riddick wasn't really suited for the current generation of Hardware. This is OUR next generation - our second title with that sort of technology, which gives us a big advantage. With The Darkness we started with tools that were already developed for the core part of the technology". "And as with every next-generation title, content production is key. It takes longer to create each individual part of the contents since it's so much more detailed." He zooms in close on a man with a 5 o'clock shadow, and we can actually see his pores and the hairs sprouting out of the follicles. Jens Andersson (lead designer of The Darkness) on the PS3: "It's complex hardware. If you want to take advantage of it, you've got to rethink how a lot of stuff works. But for every revision Sony sends, the tools and technology and more mature. And when we develop technology internally here at Starbreeze, we tie it really closely to game design. That's the advantage of an in-house engine..." UTL: Dark Kingdom: The plot is not contiguous with previous games. Same setting but allowing themselves to skip around within the overall timeline of UL lore. More immersive story line than typically associated with action RPGs. 3 playable characters (maybe more). Brute, Mage and Knight. More details b/c of multiple cell processors: When you smash skeletons, you'll see bones ricochet individually off stone walls, etc. "The PS3 is the first time we've had to make a programming and art mind shift." ..."enemies that sport flesh over their frames will slump realistically thanks to rag-doll physics. And some of that Cell might be used to power fancy-shmancy effects, such as white-hot lightning or glistening great balls of fire, which you'll be able to hurl with the greatest of ease." also "In this case, we wanted to take that hack-n-slash gameplay and turn it up. It's more than just hitting the X button. Now there are combos and more visual flair and variety." Starbreeze regarding online: Andersson says that the game will definitely have an online component, but until they know more about the network structure, they can't say for sure what it will include. "We still don't know much about Sony's online plans," he says. "I think they have big hopes, and we know there's something coming, but we don't know to what extent that will be. We'll need to rethink the size of online whenever we get that info."
