First PS3 Screenshots Leaked: Untold Legends 3 (uh oh..)
Apparently Sony is going to officially announce this on Wednesday at a PS3 blowout.
Hopefully this isn't a sign of what's to come from PS3 this Wednesday because.. this is crap. http://www.gamerevolution.com/images...ingdom_008.jpg http://www.gamerevolution.com/images...ingdom_007.jpg http://www.gamerevolution.com/images...ingdom_001.jpg http://www.gamerevolution.com/images...ingdom_006.jpg |
What the hell is this, 1999?
|
Oh no the first {supposed} screenshots from a console did not immediately cause orgasmic goodness in my mind and pants! This is a problem!

And I hate to tell you, but given what Sony has PROMISED, people damn well better expect orgasmic goodenss. |

Couldn't they at least have put more than one enemy in the room at a time? When you're competing against XBox360, already on the market with games like Fight Night 3 and Oblivion, there's no way piss-poor graphics from SONY ONLINE ENTERTAINMENT (no less) can excite gamers. |
The graphics look smooth... Well, they look better than anything any current console can put out.
But in the same sense they have the refinement of super-low-budget-Sci-Fi Channel-original-movie CG :( What about those Metal Gear Solid 4 shots? Those weren't real-time? Same with Devil May Cry 4? |
Err... MGS4 is all real time, and there were evidence showing that.
|
Judging by the first and last shot, you have a sidekick.. that's a table. He'll follow you everywhere, and apparently he can lose his shadow. Unfinished code or secret power? Mystery. Perhaps he'll be able to carry around some food, on plates. And you can eat the food, with the power of PlayStation 3.
|
Im sitting here, hoping and praying that it is still in VERY VERY VERY early development.
|
This game is being made by the same team that did the Everquest Online Adventure game for the PS2. Their graphical team is horrible and it's pretty obvious these people just need to stop making games.
I wish people would stop looking at the hardware side of things and realize a huge part of the graphical quality of a game still depends on the talent behind the people making the game. |

And that's on alpha kits. |
Eww, that's ugly.
But with all next generation gear, still screenshots are difficult to judge. It probably appears better than it seems. The screenshots for Amped 3 were really plain, and looked like SSX Tricky, but it feels different when you're playing it. Can't expect every PS3 title to be utterly breath taking, you know. |
The fuck? Those better be some college students half life 2 mod project screenshot, cause it looks like shit to be for the PS3.

And DMC4 was CGI. |

Those shots are crap... But at least we get more info on the PS3.

This is Fighting Force 3, right.
|
Well... they are better than ps2 graphics, though...
I can see some things in those shots, such as the texture/lighting on the floor, that look advanced. It just looks like they chose a poor example of what to showcase. Of course, since they are leaked... |

And he was dubbed, Alexander Cratesworth, cousin to Wallace Guyford. |

2.Kobayashi had confirmed in interview with Famitsu that what was shown in DMC4 trailer is least you should expect from PS3 graphics, the ingame graphics of DMC4 would be much better. If you want to take my word, wait for 2 months E3 is almost here and PS3 will blow. I mean time check these realtime graphics of Darkness on PS3 |
All the hype for PS3 with the pre-rendered videos and whatnot is leaving people with unrealistic expectations. Those shots really aren't that bad. They have nice textures for the environments and some decent lighting going on. The models are obviously cartoony, but that's the developer's choice.
People really need to stop expecting a huge jump in graphics from next gen consoles. They're going to look better, obviously, but try to have realistic expectations. |
