Today's item is Fjordor's War and Peace. You may employ Fjordor to upload his lengthy tome to one opponent's network, causing it to overload. As a result, said opponent will be unable to submit numbers for attacks and defense for the day (I will supply random numbers instead). This item doesn't prevent them from attacking, it just removes their ability to select which numbers they use. As always, this weapon works chronologically, so it doesn't work on battles posted before you use the item.

You can't post attacks before 9am, no matter what the reason (if I did it for you, I'd have to do it for everyone). They'll take effect when you post them again, otherwise I'll post them at 9pm, in accordance with the absentee rule.

A heads up: ctu used his Simply Majestic Clone on wvlfpvp(he sent me a PM). Also, Zergrinch and Smelnick have purchased a Double Team and used it on Tritoch, meaning he only has 2 turns today, and they each have one extra turn. I allowed them to use the turn portion of the weapon pre-emptively, but Zergrinch or Smelnick will need to post which 2 countries they're taking. And of course, wvlfpvp has used his Fjordor on Domino.

Done. Please note that Ryuu told me early yesterday he would be gone until Sunday, and he wasn't sure if he would have internet access (so far he hasn't). He left me a number for defense, but no attacks. As I have in the past, I'll wait until 9pm tonight to post his defense, in case he pops his head in earlier.

On the other hand, ctu sent me attacks to post tonight, but no defense numbers. Sigh.

I'm not sure how I feel about a pre-emptive Double Team like that unless there's a precedent, but for now at least I'll just attack the Socialist Republic of Bradylama and Col. Skills' Haven of Virgins.

Well, considering Zergrinch is around at 9am every morning anyway to make it official, it really didn't need to be preemptive. He and Smelnick both confirmed the purchase and the plan with me last night, and Zerg posted here, so it's not really all that preemptive. At any rate, a Double Team takes turns, and other weapons like that can be used preemptively.

Yeah, Zerg posting here before me is the main reason I'm not arguing it. The item itself is iffy since it also takes countries and you can't use Tanks and such pre-emptively.

As I explained to Zerg last night, only the turn stealing portion of the weapon could be used preemptively. His attacks wouldn't have been effective until he posted them. I agree, it's a gray area, but a weapon that takes turns is difficult to use if you can't do it preemptively.

A correction: I awarded Mucknugglia to wvlfpvp earlier, because I thought Domino owned it. Actually, there was a pending battle, and it now belongs to Identity Crisis, so wvlfpvp's attack is pending. Also, Yeldarb has attacked nikiri a second time, while his first attack is pending.
