A friend and I used to rock this game when it first came out, (The Dragonball Z mod was one of the most fun multiplayer games I had) but after playing some of the people that live and breathe this game, I'm worried a bit about how long it will survive.

I'm sure I'll play regardless of how badly I get my butt kicked.

Jam it back in, in the dark.

I was also quickly reminded why I don't play FPSes. Good god do I suck hard.
You're not alone. I've always been good at bots, but humans tend to know the maps and weapon placement better than I do, so usually it's luck that carries me through.

Also, cannot stand Arena mode. Full access to all weapons, last man standing? Kinda sucks all the excitement out of the game.

Oh, and my name on there is Skexis.

There's nowhere I can't reach.

I was thinking about the matchmaking, and it could be that the pool of players just isn't big enough at this point, so even if a game says "skill matched," it might have 1-3 people that are hardcore players and the rest are nubs or around your level.

It's tough, tougher than any other FPS I've played, but I hope that once I learn the maps a bit better (or maybe even just play a duel round or two) I'll be able to go toe-to-toe with some of the better guys.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

I can tell a HUGE difference already in the player pool after open beta started. There were only about 7000 users in the closed beta, and that's had to have doubled based on the queue line I saw last night (13700), so the CTF I played seemed a lot more evenly matched for me. The little aptitude test they give you before you fight Crash is good too, because it gauges the kind of skills you're able to do. It took me a second to figure out that the expert level test was a timing thing, but after that, it only took me a couple of tries to get through the door.

It's easy to tell that they adjusted the damage for railgun and rocket launcher. Armor seems to make much more of a difference now than in the game I remember.

Jump in, guys!

I am a dolphin, do you want me on your body?
