As stated before, if it's god-awful hot outside and the A/C is broke, then it's going to be just as, if not more miserable in the house. My PC won't be on, my fan will be in the window PRAYING for a breeze and I'd be out side trying to do something to take my mind off the heat.
Jam it back in, in the dark.
