I've heard lots of good things about Anachronox although I've never played it. I've played Septerra Core but I didn't like it too much. Another game I've heard of is Silver, which I thought looked very similar to FFVII. I've never played that either though.

That's all I know of at present.
Anachronox was great, but not for its RPG elements. I felt the battles actually took away from the story and would have really enjoyed the game a lot more just reading the text and wandering around than having to constantly fight in pointless battles.

Still a fun game. Be sure to get the unofficial patch, though. It adds a fast-forward button, a taxi service, and improved stability (much needed!).

Jam it back in, in the dark.

Screw you guys, I loved Grandia 2 (even on the PS2 with its maaaaaaaaaaaaasive slowdown in every town).

There's nowhere I can't reach.
