I'll confess that this is in response to getting two PMs in as many days from people asking to have their accounts deleted. Since we don't delete accounts when asked, there serves no point, and people who have been here for a while should know better.

I could put this in the FAQ, but it stands a better chance of being read here.

Unfortunately, deleting your account wouldn't delete your posts along with it; they'd still be cluttering up the board as "Guest".

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.
