Which is good. But, if you ever think about asking, don't. Because we won't.

I'll confess that this is in response to getting two PMs in as many days from people asking to have their accounts deleted. Since we don't delete accounts when asked, there serves no point, and people who have been here for a while should know better.

I could put this in the FAQ, but it stands a better chance of being read here.

Wouldn't you rather stick it up then? Or make it an announcement that lasts 50 years?

Unfortunately, deleting your account wouldn't delete your posts along with it; they'd still be cluttering up the board as "Guest".

It seems even spam accounts are spared from the deletion axe. GFF seems to keep all things good and bad for various reasons. Why would you want your account deleted anyways? A perma-ban would be just as nice.

Your not the only one who reads the announcements.

Some people want to play fair with one account...but want a new username.
