[360] Halo 3 media sharing. Table stretching and pictures of Kai driving like my mom inside

I didn't want to gum up the official thread with this, but I thought it might be a neat idea to make a thread with some showcases some of our Halo 3 custom content.

Be it screenshots, custom gametypes, Forge maps, or saved clips, pimp them here. Granted, the only ones you can directly link here are screens, but if something's up on your share, link that and tell us which slot.

Give feedback on other pics, and just show off awesome shit.

A quick script I threw up on my webspace to allow the uploads of the photos. I'll delete anything from there if it's uploaded and NOT Halo 3 content, but otherwise feel free to upload and post the image around.

It should be mentioned that these screens are likely to be huge, so you weenies on 768 aren't gonna be happy. Feel free to thumbnail if you guys want, but the script doesn't automatically take care of that, and I don't feel like adding that functionality. It's all about the high res anyway.

Anyway, I'll start.

This photo comes from Tails being a douchemuffin. Me and a friend of his are driving a Mongoose on Valhalla, and he decides that as we drive by, he'll hit us with the gravity hammer. The fact that we're on his team doesn't really dawn on him, it seems.



I was playing Lone Wolves for achievements, and I got the double laser kill with this. It was Crazy King, and I got pretty lucky. From my vantage point, you couldn't really see the blue guy. Pretty awesome nonetheless though.

Simple picture, but i love the perspective of it and the fact that i riddled sim and omagnus with bullets.

Here is a 3:30 clip of me going up against the two scarabs on the Covenant map. It is the only thing I currently have on my file share; slot 1.

It was done on Normal difficulty as more of a proof of concept rather than a "here's how you do it on Legendary by yourself with all the skulls turned on" instructional video.

Escaping from an exploding Scarab after landing the Hornet on it, the guy above clearly didn't make it, and I JUST made it out, as you can see my shield is in the process of dropping.

Freakin' AWESOME escape. I loved it.

What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now?

First image here is me sticking a grenade on the back of some dude's head. He had just killed one dude and was chasing another. He didn't get a chance to engage the second person. Because his head exploded. And then he had to wait to respawn.



This second image is of me firing the Spartan Laser. At the time that I fired it, I was not thinking anything of it, just me killing a dude, then the second guy walked out from behind that wall and I became incredibly sad. I missed the double kill with one shot by a split second. Watching the replay after the match only worked to further sadden me.

This is arguably one of my favorite campaign moments. It's on the Ark, and by this time I had played it enough times to know better, but I forgot. The images speak for themselves.

I liked how this made it look like I exploded the guy with a mauler. It was actually a spiker grenade, but looks cool none the less (especially as it was a poser in a Hayabusa helmet):

This one was on a ranked Team Slayer on Snowbound. My friend thinks he has a clear shot then his friend decides to go in front of the damn shot and cause a betrayal. I was laughing because it was a bit funny though.



I had just killed someone in an oddball game, picked up the skull, and just nearly dodged a laser shot.



This one is from a Team Slayer match that my team won. We were blue and I'm the one with the Turret in mid air. I just liked how this angle was a it looked bad ass from this angle in free camera.

Here's a typical social ctf game I was in. Red team was a few steps away from making a clean score but on a whim I decided to aim my laser and imagined the red horror they saw. Oh wait, it probably looked something like this:



And here it is again from a different vantage point. Instant triple kill :3



Still, we lost due to over half the team quitting early (bad connection I suppose.) But that's not the point!

A video of me sneaking into the enemy base on a One Bomb match and fucking them up.

Two of our teammates quit in the middle of a round, so it was two on four. I managed to sneak into their base, plant the bomb and kill the two guys who came after me, scoring the point. Cool stuff.

Well, they were moving, it's just that they clumped together for reasons unknown. It's not like they didn't know I had the ghost. I was riding around in it for at least a minute beforehand.

So a little backstory might be necessary here. When we got a game together, two of the opposing teams' guys dropped out almost immediately, forcing the game into a 4 on 4, taking Kairyu away from our team. Anyway, Kairyu was getting some pretty serious sniper kills when I finally decided to do something about it by sneaking up on him and scoring the assassination.

The lack of support fire had me thinking I was about to be back attacked. So I jumped into where Skills and Tails was. All the while attempting to at least grab a kill or two before I go down.

Finally, I played H3 with the GFF crew for the first time last night. So awesome.

Mmm.. This was my first triple kill. I basically hopped in and HANDLED BUSINESS immediately after Garr and Kairyu got killed. So many bodies. <3


Alright, this was sheer hilarity. I knew Devo was holed up in that corner with her sniper rifle, but I figured I'd help her out in killing this guy. I ran up the side and assassinated the chump, but at the exact moment I killed him, I found my own body hitting the ground too! Even though it looks like Devo got the kill, I definitely offed him first, a fraction of a second before she sniped us both in the head.


I noticed Capo on the ledge across from me, so naturally I started bucking shots. I knew he'd come after me, so I quickly dove behind something as fast as I could. My plan worked, and you all know what came next.


He got Splinter Cell'd.


This was one of my very first laser kills!


Here you can see that there was literally no wiggle room over that ridge, and how easily I could have missed the shot. Tails is seen, and I'm sure he wasn't happy that I stole his kill.


For some reason, I was doing pretty damn good with the laser. This was literally the first game I've ever used it, and THIS was literally the last shot I took. I only missed one of my shots.


Hah! I can only imagine what this guy is thinking as I chopped down his teammates from across the whole effin' map.


This is never a good sight to see, at least for the opponent who's about to get his wig split.


I'll end these set of pictures with my first pistol kill. I was bored since the opposing team was full of nubs, so I figured I'd try and go for a pistol kill. Sure enough~ Black man is handy with a gat.

For the first time I seriously played multiplayer, I had one hell of a time! Plus, I didn't suck nearly as much as I thought I would.

I have no oversized pictures to share but I do have a cool film to show and tell! Here's my very first Perfection run in a ranked matched. It's located on slot 3.

For those that might not know what a Perfection is in Halo; It's simply getting 15 kills (or more) in any slayer game type without dying. In my experience doing that in a ranked matched is usually near-impossible.
And of course Fresh Frank covered my ass while I took out the opposing team. Had he not done that I would've died towards the very end of the match.
