Difference between horizontal and perpendicular?
I'm a little confused about the difference of the two words. In Wiki perpendicular sounds like horizontal to me so I hope someone here can clear me up a little.

Actually, those two lines are parallel to each other. Perpendicular means you have a 90 degree angle between the two lines.

To remember 'horizontal' I always think about the 'horizon'... its side to side as opposed to up and down.
As for perpendicular, its just two lines interesecting each other... I believe it has to be at a 90 degree angle. Perpendicular, you need two lines. Horizontal is just one. What, you don't want my bikini-clad body?  |
