Cannot get picture playing DVDs on WMP

I'm having difficulty playing some DVDs with Windows Media Player. Actually, I've basically never been able to play DVDs with WMP ever. I can't seem to get a picture at all, and basiclly all I get is the audio. I'm not too sure why it's doing this, while it works fine playing torrented anime on the hard drive. I generally use Core Media Player, but since I have the free version, it wouldn't do DVD play back unless I get the premium version after offering some $$$.

Jam it back in, in the dark.

Probably because WMP isn't a dvd player.

There's nowhere I can't reach.

For DVD playback you can use the VideoLAN client. Or xine/mplayer if you're using a unix os.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

I recommend downloading and installing the Combined Community Codec Pack, and using Media Player Classic to play DVDs.

Interesting, considering WMP just says you can play your DVDs with this application.

They lied to me ;__;

I was speaking idiomatically.

Technically, yes Microsoft lies. But it does state that it "can play DVDs with a 3rd party applicaiton" or something to that effect.

Download Media Player Classic. It's what I use and love.

What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now?
