The Producers (DVD)
Came out today.
Back in September 2004 when I went to NYC I saw The Producers at the King James Theatre which was not more than two blocks away from the hotel we were staying at. Though it didn't have Nathan Lane or Matthew Broderick, I wasn't disappointed...it was still hilarious. The movie version was pretty much a carbon copy of the play, with the exception of a few things here and there (which, amazingly, are part of the DVD deleted scenes). The songs are terrific and the story is fun ("Hold me, touch me" is the name of a character, to begin with). If you're tolerant of musicals, you should at least rent this.
