MKV/OGG into AVI subbing and encoding problem
Hello again I am back with another problem. AVI ReComp was a great way to hard sub my files provided I have the SRT file handy. But what about for my other file types like MKV or OGG.
They have the subtitles embedded in the actual file and you can bring them up or turn them off but the subtitles are not actually separate from the file. Also they sometimes come with 2 dialects like english and japanese. So my question is this: How do I turn a MKV/OGG file with subtitles already embedded in the file with 2 dialects into an AVI file that only plays 1 dialect and is hard subbed? ***I searched the forums and read that I need some delacing program that will separate all those files...if that is correct then could someone maybe point a user friendly one out? |
Check out this guide. I think it has all the information you need (it's a bit confusing, but with you should be able to figure it out :)).

VirtualDubMod will allow you to separate the AVI, soundfiles, and subtitles into separate files.
