Damn it. Those things MUST have crack in them.

Quoted from Brady on Krispy Kreme donuts ages ago. I believe it. Those things must have crack in them. You just can't eat ONE and not want more LATER and cannot just pass them by without being reminded of their evil sweetness in the store aisles without having to make excuses why you MUST NOT BUY IT.

I also like to throw in these damn bakery cupcakes. For a while now, I have this weird craving for cupcakes, big or small, it just right size with amount of "cake" and sugary sprinkled frosting that just so darn delicious.

What other sweet evil desserts got you hooked? It doesn't necessarily have to be sweets, but I also will throw in a frozen entree that I have been hooked on for work lunches. Marie Callenger's (sp) Chicken Fettunini (sp) Alfredo entree. That thing is just awesome. Fills me up and quite darn delicious. A lot better than any fast food, not saying its ANY better than fast food, but its worth two bucks and fifty cents.

Matt Feb 26, 2007 08:35 PM

I love Honey Roasted Peanuts.
Honestly, I buy a pack every day at work. I can't get enough of them, they're so damn delicious.

Hell, peanuts in general rock.
I have an unnatural obsession with peanut butter. I prefer the natural chunky variety. I don't mind stirring it around for a bit when I get it, it's so much better than the regular kind because it doesn't have that weird sugary taste to it. Maybe I've become too acclimated to the taste of natural PB? Who knows.
But PB rocks: on bananas, on bread with jelly, on a spoon, on oreos, on toast, and even on celery.

NeoBelhelmel Feb 26, 2007 08:58 PM

Krispy Kremes are evil. Especially the raspberry-filled ones. Every time my family buys like a dozen of those, and they disappear within two days. No fried pastry should go that fast. Ever.

As for other horribly addictive foods, our local food court has these hot wings that people will literally tackle each other for. I can't really blame them, though... those things are so good, it's become part of my daily diet...

JackTheRipper Feb 26, 2007 10:36 PM

Hey, good news! Krispy Kreme announced they are making healthier all-wheat donuts. Only 180 calories! Now we can eat more of them before they kill us with heart attacks.

CelticWhisper Feb 26, 2007 11:14 PM

Reese's motherfucking peanut butter cups.

I remember first really, really getting hooked when I was maybe...9? I always had the sneaking suspicion that I'd outgrow it some day, that it was a youthful sweet-tooth addiction, something that wouldn't stick.

Well wouldn't you know it, someone in my company's marketing department keeps their candy dish stocked with various sundry sugary products, and among those products...Reese's cups.

I don't know what's more frightening: the fact that today, at 23 years old, I'm still addicted to the goddamn things, or the fact that they may actually lead me to believe there is some redeeming characteristic to the marketing profession. *shudder*

Rydia Feb 26, 2007 11:23 PM

Kit Kats have that effect on me sometimes. I don't eat much, but when I do manage to have one piece, I seem to always want a second. Two is usually enough for me though.

*AkirA* Feb 27, 2007 12:30 AM

Chocolate Avalanche at some coffee place in the mall. Its basically chocolate cake batter with ice in it. When I do get them I always want another one, but the headache/stomach ache/vomiting usually stops me.

I can second that big time. Those mini cups and large cups are quite awesome. Like another poster, peanut butter is quite something else but combine that with chocolate and you're just in heaven. But yeah I have been known to eat the entire bag of mini reese cups in maybe course of a few days. But man don't they make you SICK afterwards! xD But yeah I couldn't eat too much PB or else...

Domino Feb 27, 2007 01:26 PM

Lion's Midget Gems. I don't have them all that often, but when I do I can eat a whole pack of them in an hour, and I never just buy the one pack it is always 2 or 3. So what should last me at least a few days, lasts for under one.

Jin Feb 27, 2007 02:51 PM

Haupia. This Hawaiian dessert is always on the dessert tables at parties, and I'm always the one to eat it all. :p I've had family and friends from the mainland always ask if I could bring some to the mainland when I come up to visit them.

yuna00 Mar 5, 2007 09:18 PM

10 i can think of...in no particular order:

1. Church's (regular batter) chicken. actually, the chicken itself is so tasty because they marinate the meat, unlike KFC.

2. Double Chocolate Mint Cookies that i made a few weeks ago. No, i don't mean i'm eating old cookies. i mean i made them a while back and i should make a new batch cuz i'm craving them as i type this! lol :p

3. Starbuck's chocolate chocolate cupcakes! MmMmmmM!! need i say more?

4. Beef Pho and Vietnamese Spring Rolls

5. Lays original-flavoured chips. you REALLY just can't eat one. you've gotta keep going, til the bag is empty! LOL :D

6. My mom's beef/chicken & broccoli stir-fry. and i KNOW there's isnt crack in this! :p

7. Double tall white chocolate mocha, with a bit more sugar (occasionally). i need my caffeine, so i need more shots in it. my tastebuds were spoilt on Second Cup Coffee drinks (they put twice as much espresso as Starbuck's)

8. Fries from Wendy's. thicker and somehow nicer than McDonald's (to me anyway)

9. Hot Pepper Beef Jerky - Jimmy's and fruit-flavoured hot pepper beef jerky by SOO. it may sound gross, but you can't taste the fruitiness. it's awesome!

10. the glazed carrots and garlic & caramelized onion mashed potatoes my bf makes. well, we both help make the potatoes. depends on who has more time. :D

gidget Mar 5, 2007 11:46 PM

Pirate's Booty from Trader Joe's. It feels like I'm eating styrofoam, yet I can't stop eating it.

Arkhangelsk Mar 6, 2007 12:04 AM

I'll second the Pirate's Booty stuff. Damn, if I couldn't stop eating it until I had finished the bag!
Right now I'll go ahead and say these damned Cadbury Mini-eggs...they *must* have crack in them. I knew I shouldn't have purchased a big bag...

Acacia Mar 6, 2007 12:45 AM

Fries from Good Times. They're curly, spiced, hot, fresh, and so delicious, it's sinful. There's like, two Good Times near my campus, and it's not a good thing for my waistline ):

Chiptole burritos are another food item I'm SURE is laced with something illegal. I could eat a chicken 'n guac burrito all day long, if I didn't feel sick after my first one.

There's also these ice pop things from Korea. I think the Japanese have them too, but I don't know what they're called in English =/

It's called a "jhu-jhu" pop in Korea, and there like these frozen sugar-water pops. There's different flavors, but the milky one is my favorite; THESE I can eat all day, though it must be terrible for my health <3

Drex Mar 6, 2007 01:07 AM

Definitely jumping on that Krispy Kreme bandwagon. The only reason I stop is sugar overload. :p

Cadbury chocolate egg things kill me. I can't stop eating those for anything. I could keep eating Sara Lee poundcake all day long, too. <3

nuttyturnip Mar 6, 2007 02:16 PM

I don't get the hype for Krispy Kreme. I've had the doughnuts fresh from the store, and they're just not that special. Honestly, some grocery store doughnuts are larger and have better flavor, and are cheaper to boot.

Safeway Select Maple Cream Cookies are addictive for me. Two maple-flavored cookies with maple filling; you can't eat just one.

Paco Mar 6, 2007 09:57 PM

Alright... In Torrance, CA there's this Mexican meat market called "La Venadita". It's your standard-issue beaner grocery store but if you happen to have about a few hours to kill and don't mind standing in line for about an hour of that time, go to this meat market and purchase as many lbs. of their seasoned chicken as you can. They put in several different seasonings, along with egg, orange juice and garlic powders. (May also contain crack)

This chicken is not to be fucked with, ladies and gentlemen, as there are few grill entrees that match the deliciousness and utter lust to have more than this here "Venadita's Crack Chicken".

I couldn't agree more. Once I eat one, and I try to convince myself I'm only eating one Reese Peanut Butter Cup, I end up eating another and another until I finish them all out...then I go out and buy another package.

They have to have crack in them. They probably produced those BIG Peanut Butter Cups to force the addiction.

Taterdemalion Mar 7, 2007 09:46 AM

Hostess coffee cakes. I could dine on these all day. I'll often buy boxes of thiss stuff and stash 'em in inconspicuous spots so no one else will eat them.
I also happen to love Lay's Kettle-cooked BBQ chips. They're just so crunchy and the flavor has a certain tang.

I had the Pirate's Booty cheese puffs for the first time the other week. My roommates and I finished two of those big bags in about a day.

Identity Crisis Mar 7, 2007 03:08 PM

I'm joining the Reese's Peanut Butter Cups bandwagon. Man, those things are addictive, and I rarely eat candy anyway. I remember selling candy for my school when I was little and buying a few packages of the peanut butter cups for myself. Those damn peanut butter cups are sooooo tasty. ;_;

Dude... I can pretty much direct you to my house from there.

Anyhow, back on subject:
1) Pringles. I go through packs of 'em at a time.
2) Shrimp Chips. (Ebi-sen in Japanese) These are addicting.
3) Wasabi-and-Beef flavored Potato Chips (available in most mega-fusion asian markets). Very tasty. Again, one of those snacks I go through by the packs.

Philia Mar 8, 2007 05:40 AM

I seconded Pringles Shorty! :D I just love the sour & cream ones. And yeah I could seriously dehydrate myself real fast when I eat the whole tall can of those.

Dude, i wish two king size was good enough for me...

Once in high school the dance company had a candy sale. I literally bought over $20 of Kit Kat in a week, it was the worst time of my life. It was seriously like going to a drug dealer; every time I saw a clear baggy filled with candy (haha) I like ran at her and asked DO YOU HAVE KIT KAT!!!

Ya, I'm pretty sure they put crack in Kit Kat.

That and Jello Straws, can't get enough of those. Anybody like Lychee jellies? How about Chinese pork jerky? Or fried and sugared squid?

DUDE!!! I know what you're talking about, once when I was in Shanghai me and my brother would literally go through a pack a day. But they don't sell them here in Arizona, so I've been iced crack free ever since Shanghai.

darkrose16 Mar 12, 2007 09:04 PM

Omg...Krispy Kreme probably are made with crack. Lol. They used to have them as fundraisers at my school, and instead of buying them individually, we used to buy them by the boxes, and they would be gone by 8th period...but I looove white chocolate kitkats...and reese's. Oh, and those carmel apple suckers!

Kit Kats were always sold out when those students went around selling candy at my middle school and high school. Now on my college campus, Kit Kats still seem to be the first to run out.

THESE:

CHEESE FLAVORED CRACK. Yeah but seriously they are very delicious you should have some, unless they don't sell them where you live which isn't suprising since they hardly are sold anywhere anymore :( .
I think they're like hoarding them or something, but yeah my favorite flavor by far. Ranch is... okay, but these are like "POW CHEESE IN YO MOUTH, FOO"

NovaX Mar 14, 2007 10:29 AM

SPAM. I honestly can't stop eating it once I have had a taste. SPAM and anchovies are the only foods that literally make my mouth water when thinking about them.

SonicEchidna May 13, 2007 05:17 PM

Salt and Vinegar crisps. Actually, just crisps in general.

They have been an unhealthy addiction of mine for some years now.

ComradeTande May 14, 2007 09:40 AM

hersheys milk chocolate with caramel in the center. i buy one everyday i work (i work at a grocery store). that's 1.50 a day...times it by letsee...at least five days a week, multiply that by 4, and then 12...
i waste 450 dollars on those things a year xD
well, this horrible thing hasn't been going on for a year, but still...

its almost as bad as smoking...except more tasty :P

I second this. Chipotle burritos MUST have something in them... they make you full right after the last bite AND expand your stomach (somehow).

I know a friend who can go through TWO of these, though. Scary, eh? :eagletear:

RacinReaver May 14, 2007 05:22 PM

I could probably do two Chipotle burritos since they're a bit smaller than Qdoba ones which I'm used to.

I've found Taco Bell to be the worst place for eating food and then feeling horribly full afterwards. One time I went there I had two tacos and a small burrito and felt like I was going to explode afterwards (going to the driving range to hit a jumbo bucket of balls in 90° weather after that meal wasn't a very smart move either).

Shorty May 15, 2007 01:21 AM

I say these are pretty unstoppably good too:
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v6...bee-Shrimp.jpg

止められない、止まらない、カッパ海老煎♪
↑This is the oldskool slogan for the snack, roughly translates to: "Can't quit, can't stop, Kappa Shrimp Chips!"

Chibi Neko May 16, 2007 10:59 AM

boston cream donuts from Tim Hortens always do it to me. I used to buy one as a snack for my break at work, but now I always have to buy 2.

Zigan May 16, 2007 11:43 AM

Around where I live, Krispy Kream recently got rid of their la'taes. I used to get one every once in awhile, then they became really addictive. I was quite upset the morning I went to get one and the lady at the drive-thru said they didn't sell them anymore... instead they have these new drinks now (forget what they're called). So i decided i'll try one of those--a flavor called Mocha Dream. I was surprised when she handed it to me since it looked exactly what i used to get before with the whip cream ontop... cept this time it was better... I'll be getting those from now on. @_@

Mucknuggle May 16, 2007 12:34 PM

Leave any kind of sour candy near me, or licorice, and the stuff will be gone within a few hours. I just can't seem to stop my hand from drifting to the bag every now and then. I'm not quite so bad with chocolate though.

Dee May 17, 2007 11:30 PM

I'm not a fan of Krispy Kreme. But I am a fan of Dunkin' Donuts. Shoot man, those donuts are obsessive. I always swear myself to eat one, but I end up eating two/three. Awful, just plain awful. I like the plain glazed variety.

Any chocolate is also hovering on obsessive for me. My mom bought these Crunch eggs for Easter and I eat like 10 in one sitting. Twix is probably my downfall too.

SuperDK May 18, 2007 04:59 AM

Holy crap Shorty, I used to eat that all the damn time. My parents would go buy those and then we (my siblings and me) would always eat them like they were some sort of delicacy. Man, those were the days.

I don't know if I should say this or not, but Little Debbie's fucking Oatmeal Creme Pies always get to me. I don't know who filled her, but please keep doing so. ok that was bad

Malahk Angel May 19, 2007 04:08 PM

We don't have Krispy Kreme up here that I'm aware of, but when I was living in Virginia, I ate them things all the time. I've had an odd craving ever since I moved to New Hampshire, and now that I've been reminded... I think I know what it is o_O.

Okay that doesn't make much sense unless you're implying there's something weird in Taco bell's tacos. I can only eat 1 Chipotle burrito but I can eat 8-10 taco bell tacos (those are tiny little buggers).

RacinReaver May 22, 2007 12:10 AM

I am saying there's something weird in Taco Bell's tacos. I'll eat one of their cheaper burritos and feel as full as after I had eaten at Qdoba. I think that's where their whole "I'M FULL" ad campaign comes from.

elwe May 22, 2007 12:41 AM

I totally agree with the Marie Callendar's entrees, as well as the Krispy Kremes. Mmmm. Also, my latest obsession: FLA.VOR.ICE. I've been eating a bunch of those every day. That can't be good. By the way, for once, the blue and red ones aren't the best. =O

Why can't I be addicted to a HEALTHY food?! (Oh, wait--BERRIES!)

And, uh, Raisinets. ;_;

doldrums Jun 5, 2007 03:16 AM

i was hooked on beef teriyaki a while back :P i'd have it for lunch from work every day. i've also been hooked on root beer floats! :D they're so good! i still crave them but don't go about buying to make some anymore. i would practically finish the the half gallon ice cream b/c my family doesnt really like vanilla. also, orange chicken from panda express!

Additional Spam:
oh also nachos and those sobe drinks!

BlueEdge Jun 5, 2007 01:14 PM

Mmm...I could never really get into Krispy Kremes...they were...too soft? Felt like I was biting into nothing. I prefer Tim Horton's donuts...they aren't coating in a 5mm layer of glaze?

aviness Jun 19, 2007 07:17 AM

Has anybody had Snyder's pretzel pieces? It is insanely addictive, so if you haven't tried it yet, I strongly suggest you to try it out. My favorite flavor is honey mustard and onion, but buffalo wings and ranch flavor are insane too.

My friend and I love them so much, that the next morning, we get the Snyder hangover, where your tongue hurts like crap from eating too many of them and leaving your mouth all salty going to bed.

RacinReaver Jun 19, 2007 09:39 AM

My dad's always liked their "Special Dark" variety. I think it's just the pretzels that get a little too burnt during cooking.

Twinkies are something I can never put down. I never buy any sort of cream-filled Tastykake/Hostess/Little Debbie snack because I'm afraid I'd eat the entire box in one sitting. :(

brknredcrayon Jun 23, 2007 06:45 PM

there is this a restaurant in China town near me that makes the best fried calamari i've ever had, i get it every time.

...that and anything gummy (worms, bears, sharks (thebest)

Bernard Black Jun 23, 2007 07:12 PM

I'm not a big fan of sweet foods (although saying that I could eat either regular kitkats or kendel mint cake until I burst). As for savoury, I'll second sour cream and chive flavoured Pringles. Once you pop, you really really can't stop :( Also, I am so addicted to avacados at the moment that I've practically lived off them for the past three months.

DragoonKain Jun 24, 2007 12:41 AM

Homemade chocolate chip cookies are maybe the most tempting food ever for me. They smell and look so good and moist.

Conan-the-3rd Jun 24, 2007 03:50 PM

Caramacs.

Seriously.

nanashiusako Jul 23, 2007 11:00 PM

These little meals that take 90 seconds to make. They are not frozen meals. I think they come from the aisle with the hamburger helper....Er, they are good. Really good. I also adore Triscuits Thin Crisps. I can easily eat a whole box in an hour or two if I let myself.

Im eating the Garlic bread ones right now, VERY good!

Krispy Kreme's are VERY addicting. But the worst for me right now are "Cheez-Its". I could eat a whole 1 pound box in like an hour.....SOOOOO good.

WolfDemon Jul 28, 2007 05:03 PM

Right now I'm scarfing down a can of Loaded Baked Potato Pringles, which is pretty amazing, since I don't even like Pringles.

Also, fuck Krispy Kreme. Dunkin Donuts is where it's at. We don't have them here anymore though... :(

But I can eat Sho-Pow until my stomach bursts. Basically, it's sweet pork and hard-boiled egg pieces in a steamed bun. Delicious.

Servilonus Aug 5, 2007 12:49 AM

Snyder's buffalo wing pretzel pieces ftw. I used to eat them WAY too much at work.

As far as other mentions - Krispy Kreme and Dunkin Donuts - I find both their donuts to be ok. But I'll eat basically any brand of Boston Creme.

And the Little Debbie cakes? Probably the sole reason for me growing up fat.

I really wish I could relate to the whole Chipotle thing - I've never even seen one. But back when they were new, I used to be addicted to Taco Bell's crunchwrap.

Golfdish from Hell Aug 5, 2007 02:50 AM

Either Rockstar or Sobe energy drinks. I used to balk at their price, but 2 per day has become a frightening norm.

Salt N Vinegar potato chips, fast food french fries, Subway's hearty italian bread and Oreo cookies definitely have addictive properties to them as well.

And maybe it's just the poor college student in me, but there's always that underlying urge for Cup O Noodles...

Craze Sep 22, 2007 12:25 AM

Basically most of the bad food must have crack in them..most fried stuff, fast food french fries, potato chips (Except those extremely salty ones) and cup noodles...like what goldfish said, you'll somehow have some sort of urge for them once in a while.

Oh, and also Pods. Those are freaking addicting you can't stop just having a pop or 2. My friend ate 2 bags in a go and had a really bad sorethroat and flu the next day.

RainMan Sep 22, 2007 01:19 AM

MSG. Seriously that stuff is incredible.

Elegy Oct 3, 2007 12:37 PM

I have a pretty bad sweet tooth, so I tend to stay away from just about everything if I can help it. In particular, I tend to love stuff like Twix. All that caramel, chocolate, and crunchiness. It is evil I say!

AtmaWeapon Oct 11, 2007 09:30 PM

Cashew nuts: I'll eat those till I throw up and then eat some more, hating myself all the while.
Nibs candy: I dunno why, but I could swallow a whole bag in one shot.
