I'm still alive. I swear. I need to get back into the groove of GFF here. Miss this place... SRK can't entertain me all the time!
Also, looking forward to Melty Blood: Act Cadenza coming out next week. <3 Sion. <3 Sion rushdown. <3 Sion infinite. =x |
I've only recently heard of that game. Looks very interesting, and I wonder how it slipped past my fighting-game radar for so long.
I'm starting to really like Ky's pressure game at the wall. 20-hit half-tension wall combo for the win. :p |
So, apparently the Jap release of Judgment will include Slash, while the US release will include #Reload. Pshaw. What really, really interests me, however, is this:
http://www.segadirect.jp/Catalog/Cus...t_psp_umdb.jpg Anyone know the story behind it...? Like, what the hell is it? |
Sammy do it again! a new revision of GGXX is coming... and i dont talking about Slash: Its called ACCENT CORE.
http://www.guiltygearx.com/image/main0826.gif It will use the same sprites, but the gameplay will be absolutely changed, ASW says that this is a "new game" and not really a revision, even if their are using the same sprites... that not convinced me too much. 2 new characters coming: Judgement (from the game of the same name on PSP) and Raven, who is a alter-ego of AXL. Its seems that Robo-Ky will not come back anyway. http://www.ffl.sakura.ne.jp/cg/tx_ggjudgment0.jpg You can see a footage video here. |
Accent Core. Cool, but didn't they just release SLASH a while back? I mean, it's probably gonna take a while for this to actually be released, but still. Anyway, I've heard (from Dustloop) that the new characters were false, or at least not confirmed.
I like how they're going to add stuff like EX moves, but that sounds kinda weird to me. Oh, how I wish I could play test this game. I think Robo-Ky is still in there (just not GGXX Robo-Ky). Also sounds like Millia's now a beast (though, she was always good/great/whatever). |
Seems to me that the changes added to Accent Core are large enough to consider it Guilty Gear XXX.

guilty gear rocks, did you know that sol badguy is a gear and that is real name is frederick
yeah i heard they were gonna do a revision and only after that ggxxx |
Picked up Judgment yesterday (or at least my brother did). Judgment is pretty cool, but you lose a lot of things. There are only three buttons for attacks, and your tension gauge is also your burst (you need a full tension gauge to burst I think). All in all, it's pretty fun, I'm probably gonna buy another PSP so I can check out co-op. Should be fun.
Controls, on the other hand, suck. First of all, I can barely RC. Which means no VT loop (because it's #R and not SLASH :( ) Dustloop can be pulled off, but it is a little harder. And there is an easy mode, as in controls. I'm guessing it's like Bleach DS (or some other game I don't know about) where you press 26 to do a fireball. For instance, Gunflame can now be inputed as: 26P. Makes it a helluva lot easier, with no stick and all. Unfortunately, RC's are hard to pull off. Really. Half the time I go for RC I accidently go into IK mode. And, lastly, is Fragment part of the Japanese release? |
I'm just bitter that the Japanese release of Judgement the other week has Slash in it while all we get is Reload again.

Anyways, I picked up Judgement; The actual Judgement game is really good. While I know that statement will possibly get some "RELOAD/SLASH IS BETTER!!11" comments, I'm not comparing the two. They're two different games, and two different types of games for that matter. Comparing them is rather unfair. Now, I will admit that while I like #Reload more, Judgement is a very good beat'em up. As I saw someone else comment on it, it's like Battletoads/Final Fight/Double Dragon on crack. ps zomg soundtrack want Quote:
Also, I saw this and it might interest you. http://ufighterx.com/guides/videogam...pspdpadfix.htm Apparently fixes the D-Pad to work like it should. Alternates for the NES sleeve is taking 6 strips of masking tape, putting them on each other, and then using a hole puncher to take 4 pieces out of the now single strip, instead of the NES sleeve cut out. @Krelian - I heard that it's apparently a combo video or something like that. |
sorry for a bit of the story of frederick(sol badguy),i wish i had a psp to play that revision, but if it has not raven it is not ggxxx because it has been confirmed that raven is the last boss of ggxxx and that axl low will be the protagonist

EDIT: I just did the D-Pad mod I linked to, using the masking tape version I noted. It worked like a charm, I can do Vapor Thrust easily now. |
Yeah Arc, I know about that (replacing Respect for RC). I'm actually doing that right now. I once tried for Axl's bomber loop for such a long time (it's a lot easier with a stick), and it's still pretty hard for me to do it. I guess I need to time the FRC's correctly. It's kinda hard to press L for anything, imo.
The controls are kinda bad, but I don't think I'll need to mod my PSP right now. At least they're not like Darkstalkers controls. |
If you all buy the Evolution 2006 DVDs you can see me and my team scrub out at Evo and tie for 5th. ^_^;
Also, I'm still alive... I just never post/lurk here anymore. T_T |
What is your name/handle/etc. at Evo? I downloaded some match vids, but I dunno if its just casual or what.

TheFrenchLlama's name was and still is SpiritJuice.

GG Anime and other questions
Is there a Guilty Gear anime being made? I remember seeing some promotional videos of it. By the way, are Ky and Dizzy in love with each other?
