Mitsumune Shinkichi - Ashita he Rozen Maiden Traumend Original Soundtrack

Sahashi Toshihiko - Kuroi Hadou Gundam SEED Destiny Original Soundtrack IV

eufonius - Bokura no Jikan ~memory~ Futakoi Alternative Original Soundtrack - A STORY OF LOVE

GSD has some of the best instrumental music this year. Rozen Maiden Traumend had a few good songs, but most of the best stuff was from last season. I really liked the one song I picked, though. I also wanted to include Futakoi Alternative in some form, but couldn't decide on an instrumental track (too many good tracks) so I picked one of the ending themes.

With the exception of Ike Ike, Tori no Uta and Shooting Star are both disqualified since they were already featured on the previous compilation.

I finally found the original tracklists I wrote (before AxaliaN threw them out) so they're attached here for reference.

(The Miko Miko Nurse theme song by Chu* was tacked on at the end)

Allright.

Who's Theme - Minmi - Samurai Champloo "Impression" CD

Hemisphere - Maaya Sakamoto - RahXephon Pluralitas Concentio O.S.T.

Aruarian Dance - Nujabes, Fat Jon - Samurai Champloo "Departure" OST

Choosing these three was very difficult considering there are so many other really great candidates. I really like the instrumental I chose, "Aruarian Dance". It maintains a steady beat while still keeping a slow, morose-ish tune.

I'll have YSI additions to these songs up by tomorrow so you all can hear them for yourselves.

"Himitsu Kudasai"-Miyasato Kumi- from Megazone 23 (OVA 2)

That is one that comes to mind at the present moment.

Cowboy Bebop - Einstein Groovin'

Eureka Seven - Get It By Your Hands

My-Otome - MATERIALISE

I haven't been able to catch many recent anime, but I will second this recommendation wholeheartedly. This song is absolutely amazing. I was going to recommend it myself, but el jacko beat me to it.

Shangri-la was the 4th track on the 2nd disc for the previous compilation. Look, don't nominate songs until you've gone over those tracklists to check for duplicates.

I'm determined to get BAGPIPES (Yoko Ishida - Shiawase no Iro, from Ah! My Goddess ~Sorezore no Tsubasa~) in this compilation. Hopefully the deadline is after April 26.

YO PITTSBURGH MIKE HERE Apr 10, 2006 12:15 AM

It may end up being after that date. We'll see how this goes. No hurry~

HazelGuy Apr 10, 2006 03:55 AM

Can they have voices in them, or are we talking strictly orchestral/BGM.

Edit: I somehow missed that in the first post.

My nominations;

1. T.M. Revolution - Vestige (Gundam Seed Destiny)
2. Pamsy - So Fragile (Initial D Fourth Stage)
3. Back Up - Chain (Air Gear) Though may have to wait till its available in non-TV size.

Bigblah Apr 10, 2006 04:58 AM

Like I said in the first post, you can have vocal songs as well as instrumentals (i.e. BGM).

splur Apr 13, 2006 12:36 AM

MONORAL - kiri (Ergo Proxy) more because it's very recent. I liked the song, but it's definately not the best. The mp3 I have isn't the best quality, I don't think at least.

Butter-fly - Wada Kouji (Digimon) what? seriously, this song is good...

Inner Light - Hajime no Ippo great song, it's rock so I guess it's a bit of variety for the soundtrack

*huzzahs at the Venus Say and Butterfly nominations!*

OSTs made in the past year...? I don't think I have any of them. O.o;

So, I'll nominate anime that didn't have any tracks in last year or yet nominated this year. ^^

URLs for those who want to take a listen and because two of these are rare enough that the only way I could find them was by buying the OSTs.

1. Inori - Voyage (Fantastic Children)
[This is the original version, not "Voyage... Meguru Toki no Nakade", which (despite being my preferred version) is IMO not as good as the original ver. if you haven't seen the show.]
2. Akira Mitake - Friends or Enemies (Humanoid Kikaider the Animation)
3. Yoshihiro Ike - Universe Castle (Superior Defender Gundam Force)

~Na-keya

Bigblah Apr 28, 2006 07:42 PM

Now that we have the full versions:

Shiawase no Iro by Yoko Ishida, from Ah! My Goddess ~Sorezore no Tsubasa~
Musouka by Suara, from Utawarerumono

I'll be compiling the nominations tomorrow, and we'll see how it goes. We might be able to fit this on 2 discs, or do a voting round.

YO PITTSBURGH MIKE HERE Apr 28, 2006 07:55 PM

Like I said in the main thread, please try to hold everything to one disc, or around 20 songs. I don't want other albums to be overshadowed because of the sheer size of some of the albums.

Bigblah May 7, 2006 04:30 AM

THE VOTING THREAD IS UP!

We will be selecting 20 tracks for inclusion on the soundtrack, so limit your votes to that amount.
