That depends. How many child stars burned themselves out in the same way? Linda Blair, Dana Plato, David Cassidy and Corey Feldman all had serious drug problems and all have survived to some degree or another. (Plato commited suicide years after the fact, even after making porn, so thats rather unrelated).

DUIs are a whole new ball game. You get behind that wheel drunk and you decide to go for a spin, you're taking a MUCH bigger risk. Let's not even consider how much worse it could be when you accidentally kill someone upon killing yourself when hitting a goddamned wall.
