DDR Supernova 2 has licensced music by hot artists?! WHERE?!

Is that Blind Justice I see?? Why, yes it IS!!! Thanks to a Japanese magazine (Kobayan), Konami has confirmed 2 new songs for SuperNOVA2 AC.

Trip Machine Phoenix - DE-SIRE
Blind Justice -Torn Souls, Hurt Faiths- - Zektbach.

Both songs will have videos. BJ's will probably be the IIDX video (though I've never actually seen it).

There was another song called Trust (DanceDanceRevolution Mix) by Tatsh feat. Yuuko, but I didn't see it in the mag shots, but it has been confirmed.

Oh boy. Another Trip Machine.

Let's hope it sounds better than Survivor..

I'm sure they won't fuck it up, but I could be wrong.

I'm a little sad, though, that Blind Justice won't be a 9 or 10. 8 just seems too easy considering there's a lot they could do with that song.

Never heard the song before, but I sense a song with many long runs.

Well, Blind Justice is sorta already known to be confirmed, but I copied the entire list from Zenius's website, so it's there... and because it's a cool song worth mentioning twice.

So I'm seeing a lot of planet names in these lists. Perhaps Konami's finally decided to go with the whole outer space thing for SuperNOVA2 (graphics, engine, songs), which is not bad, but still... coulda been darker.

Doesn't matter. I'm still liking everything I see so far. I do find it funny, however, that the OMES, NGO, is in an Oni course. Perhaps this means there may be a way for NGO to be unlocked in Standard Arcade Mode. We'll find out soon.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but CoinOpExpress has SuperNOVA2 kits and cabs set to be released on August 31, 2007 (one day after DD hits JP PS2). Is this accurate, or am I being mislead?

I tried copying it all from Zenius's site, but it was pretty messy, so I had to delete difficulties. My apologies.

Now, for my review. Frankly, 28 Licenses is about 8 too many, and quite a few of them aren't even very, if any, good. Sure, the charts, well, some of them, are okay, but the song ruins em. However, there is one good license, though shoulda been considered a KO, as it was the winner of a DDR contest, and that is EternuS.

If I remember correctly, you could download the full song during the contest, but I missed that chance, since I didn't vote during the contest. Anyone here snagged it and can maybe upload it?

The new KO's are pretty good, Freeway Shuffle and Electrified probably being the best non-boss songs.

The Bemani Crossover list was WAYYYY too short!! AND NO BLIND JUSTICE!!! Fuck you, America!! Japan, you better not forget that song in your version!!

As far as Old songs... few good, few bad, few that I just don't care about that probably shouldn't be there, I'll leave it at that.

Boss songs, Unreal's awesome, NGO's ending sucks on both Expert and Challenge, though Challenge sucks in general. Paranoia Hades is a good song, Expert chart I could probably pass after a few fails. Fuck the Challenge chart. Trip Machine Phoenix, Expert's okay, but hard. Challenge sucks.

Love the interface, love the Select a Style BGM.

Overall, DDR SuperNOVA2 CS US gets an 8 out of 10.
