I've never had problems with the cats climbing the tree, of course, we'd flip out so bad if one looked like he'd try. They learn.

Real tree here. Glass ornaments too, most of them are gaudy 1950s-era though but they've grown on me. Dopey cardboard birds. I have a small aluminum tree in my room though, I'm going to decorate it with new ornaments. It's sort of a reverse oreo in a way.

This year I promise I'll water the damn thing after Christmas. We didn't last year... it was a sad tree.

There's nowhere I can't reach.

No tree this year, family is jump all over the place... we don't have time for any Christmas celebrations except for the dinner .

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

We've got a fake tree this year, far easier to look after than a real one. It is about 3 foot tall, and the ends of the pine change colour. They vary from red, green, blue and purple. I'm sure that there is probably a few more colours in with that, but I can't remember them.
It also has a star on the top of it that lights up when the tree is plugged in.

I am a dolphin, do you want me on your body?

I've never had a real tree in my life.
My parents always use a plastic one

I was speaking idiomatically.
Thanks to Fjordor for the funny image!

Our tree isn't up yet. lol My family doesn't buy a tree until Christmas Eve; yup we're late like that. However, we've all discussed, and decided, that the tree will be real (like it has always been). I can't imagine a Christmas w/o a real tree. ;(

I think the smell of a real tree really adds to the X-mas atmosphere.

What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now?

Half-real... It's made of Taxus branches we brought from the countryside. Very pretty, and a good compromise between killing a tree and using a plastic one.

Christmas isn't Christmas without that pine smell and all the needles sticking into your feet when you walk near it. Real tree all the way!

What, you don't want my bikini-clad body?
