Well I would agree with you on that but the Castlevania series is availble on a few other consoles besides sony's console. So for now I'll let this one pass.

Quote:
Diablo - Dungeon (PC exclusive, PS1 version came much later)
Well, again it is allowable in this album according to my rules. But seeing that another member nominated a Diablo title in the PC album a few days before Skexis I'm forced to turn down his diablo nominations.

Quote:
KOTOR - Bastila Shan (counted as Xbox exclusive according to the Xbox forum thread)
KOTOR - Dantooine Outback (same)
Same situation, Megalith also called dibs on it as well .
So those nominations are gone.

Quote:
And I'm not sure about these:
Oblivion - Dusk at the Market (I think it's already being used in either the Xbox or PC thread)
Quake III - Noise Purge (would go in PC thread? other modified versions came out later)
Silent Hill 3 - Dance With Night Wind (PS2 exclusive, PC version came out later)
My rules still stands for those games, if its release on another console then it is eligible. Oblivion on the other hand, I see no problem with it. From what I can tell no one nominated songs from it. Plus, Capo did say this:
Spoiler:
I've been thinking about this. Oblivion music could either be placed in the General PC Gaming album, the RPG album, or the General Gaming album. They all have their merits. Elder Scrolls was originally a PC exclusive, and has, according to you people, a bigger fanbase. BZ may argue otherwise but that's for another day. Lately, however, Elder Scrolls has come into the console world much more, and holds equal releases on the consoles, namely the 360. This would place it in the General Game Music album. And then there is the matter of it being an RPG, which would place it in the RPG album.

Just a word of warning: this is my final decision on this. There is to be no arguing, for nothing will change my mind. The RPG album has been fucking up things more than it's been helping. This was my fear at the beginning, and I don't know why I brought it back. There is nothing, nothing that can be put on the RPG album that couldn't be put somewhere else. For that reason, the RPG album is now being done away with.

As for the Elder Scrolls music, the music from Oblivion should be put in the General Game Music album, because of the simultaneous release. They show no bias towards any system now, though because they did prior to this game, all Elder Scrolls 1-3 music should be put in the PC Gaming album.

Sorry for the inconvenience to everyone.

Is it not too late to change one of my nominations? If it isn't, I'd like to change this:

Prince of Persia Sands of Time OST - The Tower of Dawn (track 28, 1:34)

Into this:

Prince of Persia Sands of Time (cubed's Rip) - Tower of Dawn (track 31, 5:02)

The gamerip version was nominated by Timberwolf, and seeing as I forgot how great the gamerip version was, I'd like to change it. Thanks - this will be my only edit.

I was speaking idiomatically.

No, I don't. Just wanted to point out that some of them didn't belong in this forum's soundtrack; it's quite a simple reason. And no, they don't all apply according to the rules originally laid down.

Anyway, Kairyu's already set things straight, so let's leave it at that.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.
Check out my original music at my Soundcloud page!

Latest music rips (updated January 10, 2012):

SimCity DS - Jazz/ambient/electronic music including interesting reworkings of songs from the fantastic SimCity 3000 soundtrack
Cold Winter Original Game Music Score - Really cool; dark, full, emotional strings mixed with drums, piano, choir. Kind of like Furious Angels?

Play-Asia - Japanese CDs, game soundtracks, game imports, & more

Considering that I have no real time limit, I think things are moving well (but slow ._.)

I don't want to name names-- but just a few more nominators need to send their votes to me. Then I'm ready to make my final selection!

Yep its all done and uploaded to tappy's ftp.

Yes it was, though not completely.
I added your points (the nominators) with mine (I rated each track on a 12 point scale) and another friend I know (18 point scale per nomination-- he's even pickier than I am when it comes to listening to vgm. So I gave him more voting power.)
The tracks that didn't get points from nominators were reviewed by me and I hand picked each one (nothing else I could do without taking more time.)
After all that, I basically picked the top rated songs and added them to the tracklist. A few exceptions had to be made to make everything fit and then I even added my own nominations (they're the two tetris songs.)

If everyone is ok with it, I can post the point results for most of the nominations later today. Anyway, it made for some interesting results and for the most part it worked. I thought it turned out fairly well too .

There's nowhere I can't reach.

Thanks for the breakdown. Great job, Kairyu

Was the "unknown judge" a GFF member, by the way?

Well the intent is to keep his identity secret, you know. But I will say he was a member here a number of years ago.

Jam it back in, in the dark.

Great work, Kairyu! Looks like a well varied compilation. I've only heard about 5 of the tracks so this should be an interesting listen. Provided I can tear myself from other distractions like intensive gaming.

There's nowhere I can't reach.
I think therefore I am... I think.

Thanks! One of my main concerns was to pick a even variety of nominations and most importantly keep the album interesting. In my opinion that was accomplished. Though I believe its you that will be the judge of that .

Anyway, at the rate the coordinators are submitting their albums you should be able to download the entire soundtrack by mid or late next month!

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.
